  1. Sick, bruised and injured, Sharks will soldier on this season. Chicago won so the Sharks are only one point out of the last place ranking now. Hockey is a game of quicker thinking than the other team and luck, including injuries, illnesses, deflections, broken sticks and many other chance events for which there is no control. If your thinking is being slowed by fever and nausea, then you will get beat badly by a healthier team without the mental fog conditions. Islanders played with opportunism and fortitude to take down the lack lustre and demoralized Sharks. Are they going to fall into another losing streak of ten games? The leit motif of this season so far for Sharks is boneheadedness. I have seen many boneheaded plays from bad penalties to bad passes and too much bad judgment that has lost games. Maybe we will see trades sooner than later to shake up the team before deadline and tank further in the process. Mike Grier has to think about how he can increase speed on this team as it continues to be slow and struggle to exit their own end because of this slowness. Maybe slower players should be getting shorter shifts and let the faster players play longer shifts. Coach Warsofsky must be sick of all these excuses and the nausea that his team is experiencing as they lose again and again.

  2. …and this is also what happens during a rebuilding process. Let's get that first round pick again!
