This one hurt. We really needed that win. Whole game is summed up by drouin deciding to not shoot from the crease and kick it back to the point. They don’t care
Been hearing the same BS for years. Get the players that want to play at the net front. We lose to the same style of play every single year and yet all I hear about is the skill of players rather than the grit they showed. If you have a failure in the system and players won’t play with the want to to be net front and battle. How about we go and get those type of players? How about some accountability to the “stars” playing in the PP and continuing to play patty fucking cake with the puck? Take a star off the PP1 and force the other two to shoot more. Change out at 1min and give a second unit a chance like 90% of the league does. Jesus man I’m tired of losing the same way to the same style every damn year. Then you hear the same excuses.
bednar is such a good coach. any team would be lucky to have him, its crazy what hes kept these avs at with all the derailings this season
I feel like Manson is a double edge sword, for every good thing he does he does something dumb in return.
There is zero excuse for how bad this team is. Minnesota comes limping in here with a lot of players out and embarrassed the Avs in their own barn. Pathetic.
This team is a different beast with a healthy Val in the line up. The fact he keeps going out is killing this team. Val is so good when he's healthy because he brings what the Avs lack right now and that is a big body that powerhouses his way to the front of the net and plays a straight line game. The Avs are also snake bitten so eventually the goals will start going back in .
The Avs also need to name a Captain for heaven's sake. Stop waiting on Landeskog. Just name MacKinnon the captain already geez.

Until they fix their defense and make their offense formidable again, it's going to be another season of being shut down by well oiled teams. The Avs more than a cup team are just a midway "boss" for the heroes to pass through to the final boss. They aren't the real deal at the moment. If Landeskog isn't ready to play, just pick another leader and retire him already.

Mikko wanting a big contract I can't see it. The way he is playing doesn't justify. He plays lazy and flops all over the ice. My feelings let him walk. It might be what the Avs need. PP has been terrible. Avs players really dont care, high price to pay to watch passengers on the ice.

One fix for the team. Is to trade
Rantanen. Could get a good forward and a good defenseman for one forward it’s a no-brainer. The team would be more well rounded, and not so reliant on its forwards to score every night. I agree the team needs to move on and select a new captain as well.
