Please understand the height difference. McD is 6;'1. Garland is 5' 8. McD cross-checked Garlsnd in the helmet because of the height difference. His intent was to hit Garland in the throat.

The NHL is the only league that hasn’t figured out that stars sell the game. This is why soccer will soon surpass hockey for 4th place in North America. Conner McDavid is uber talented and should draw the most penalties in the league by a wide margin, yet nope, the NHL does nothing. I for one have never paid a dime to watch a plug like garland play a single minute of hockey. What’s old is new, welcome back the new age of the enforcer.
