The holding never was called a penalty according to the penalty summary of the game. Garland only received a 2 minute roughing penalty the same as the other players who did nothing.

Its so frustrating because I feel like the Oilers are being punished because of their proficiency on the power play. If the refs call all the penalties that should be called, they fear they're deciding the game but they're seemingly oblivious to the fact that by not calling anything they're deciding the game.
I also really hope that this doesn't become a thing where teams just go over to him and outright tackle him. I hope/expect someone to beat the hell out of Garland to remind him that though there may not have been a penalty on the play, he can't get away with that. If the Oilers don't have him pay for that, other teams will do the same tactic.
Get use to it … Refs don't call anything during Playoff Time .. That happens on every game and Team ,,,
But Wes has a lot of games that get out of control, I personally think he enjoys it! Everyone on the ice gets a penalty, yup I thought that was lazy as well!
Pay $200 to go to a game and the NHL uses beer league officials. It's like going to rock concert and the light show isn't working. Getting ripped off paying that much for games and even the cost of watching games on TV is going up.

Am I the only one seeing that there is a conspiracy going on with NHL that they want the Leafs to win the Stanley cup?
Whoever scheduled Nhl games, just look at how easy the Leafs schedule is. It seem that whenever an Atlantic division opponent plays the Leafs, it has back to back games. Also Tampa, Florida and Boston are faced with grueling schedules.
The officiating more often than not give the Leafs preferential treatment by giving more power play minutes in crucial times. Yes, it does sound silly, but look at the schedule whenever Tampa, Boston, etc. are playing the Leafs. Go Leafs go.
There should be a fine for ref's for not watching the game or some kind of disciplinary action. I agree with you guys this time. I know i never do but you guys are good about this . Keep up the good work.
As well, at 1:03 Garland cross checks McDavid as McDavid cross checks McDavid. Both heads are forced backwards, and both men then fall to the ice. It is clear, when slowed down. And the close up views show it better. Both should get the same suspension.
