There is a reason why so much of Canada was rooting for the Bruins in the finals against the Nucks. They are such an easy team to dislike.
Hilarious to even try to defend that cross check in any way. Soucy got a suspension in the playoffs for the exact same thing and ironically it was on McDavid. If he doesn't get a suspension it only goes to show how the league gives him preferential treatment. Both of these guys need 2-3 games. McDavid should have been suspended from this game already for his blatant chicken wing anyway.

In relation to the Connor McDavid Garland incident. You can't call out the officiating. Edmonton had possession of the puck with seconds to go. In order for a referee to call a penalty on Garland for holding, Edmonton would have to relinquish possession of the puck. Connor flopped on Garland and immediately realized he could get back into the play and that's when Garland held him. A blatant penalty but one that can only be called when Vancouver gets possession of the puck. Which never happened. Anybody that knows the game will say that was a "good penalty". Even better yet a good
"non penalty".
if this bugs #97, more teams need to implement this even if it becomes called a penalty.

from the few images I have seen it looks like Garland was blatantly interfering with McDavid to the extent that he earned a cross-check to the face—the refs could not have missed this blatant holding and they are to blame for McDavid getting so frustrated.
I would not suspend McDavid as he was basically forced to respond.By the way I am a Canucks fan–but Garland was WAY out of line on this one.
