  1. I do wish Berube had sent out Reaves with Xhekaj when it was 7-3 so when Xhekaj tried to fight him he could point at the scoreboard and dust him off.

  2. The dog missed the last treat. That's what happens when you celebrate an empty net goal already up 3

  3. I think that was the best opening few minutes you’ve done, Steve. I’m not a leafs fan but your joy is contagious. I hope they bring you much more of it and look forward to your LFR after they win the cup, based off this it’s gonna be epic.

  4. That game was unreal, so was your recap-I loved it. The B&W sequence, priceless. I look forward to these win or lose, but the wins are always great. Keep up the good work Steve!

  5. last Game i've been too was a blowout to the Nashville predators, it was a few years ago when subban was on the team and they had alot of good players, my uncle took me to go see nashville basically because of the lineup they had, was such a bad game havent been back since, this year feels so much different then previous years. I'm happy.

  6. As one of about ten people who like both teams, this was an interesting one to watch.

It was fun to see how fast and dynamic the Habs can be, especially with power plays and a sluggish first period Leafs team,

From the Leafs end I thought if this game continues like this it will take the piss out of that comeback against the Devils. But, I didn't think the Leafs would just roll over.

It was exciting stuff thereafter. It became run-and-gun or "high event" as the announcers phrased it. It was more like that unsustainable not real NHL hockey that showed up under Keith. Montreal had lots of chances, but either couldn't make the right play or made the right play and ran into a brick Woll.

I am hoping that this doesn't dent the Habs confidence too much, though perhaps unjustifiably they demonstrated a bit of cockiness heading in to this one. For the Leafs, a huge turnaround on Hockey Day in Canada, and they get another good challenge on Monday Night Hockey against their friends from Tampa. We have Prime and I do enjoy their telecasts.

  7. Another thing that this game changed in the Leafs season was you. I think your celebration of what this team is and can be, and just the joy in your reaction to the seven unanswered goals , is such a far cry from only a week ago when you said the team didn’t care about their fans, they didn’t give a shit about losing and that they were completely lacking in the fire to ever be a championship team. Which I thought was the lowest comments you’ve ever made about the Leafs. Even odder with the team’s record. But this is a bit more like it. Celebrating the amazing team that they are and the great strength of the players. You talked a while ago about when Willy gets mad or Austin gets mad and they just turn it up five notches, and I think that happened tonight. And Joseph Woll put on a Vezina- worthy performance.
You talked about the exuberance of the player’s reactions to scoring a goal, and that is a group of players with incredible passion, who care a great deal about winning, and who love their fans.
    Great LFR.
Loved the 1940’s bit. Really well done!

  8. Wouldn’t this have been the most Leafy thing ever if it was the other way around and the Leafs were 3-0 up and then lost 7-3? 😂

  9. If they had YouTube awards this clip would have won. 🏆

What would they call the category? 🤔

  10. during the 1st inter I had seen the score and hopped in the stream to see how you were taking it, and a Habs fan had donated saying something along the lines of "just got home from work and the Habs are blowing out the Leafs. it's a good day"
    that guy **summoned something**

  11. Woll looked fantastic after he decided he wanted to win…… I'm kinda surprised that he didn't hurt himself.

  12. Okay, we’re gonna need throwback LFRs now. Like random games or important ones. I am not a Leafs fan, but I’d love to see what would come out of such a video series!

  13. Sens fan… thanks for the win against Montreal. See you guys in round 1 – looking forward to it.

  14. At 2:27, a pop culture reference that I actually knew. These have become rarer now that I'm over 50.

I never knew how much Steve's grandfather sounded like Bob Cole, who was 9 years old in December 1942.
