The comps to Love or Herbert are wrong. Love played atleast 3 full seasons at Utah State. Physical ability wise yess..but the talent level around love was far inferior.

Mark my words, this will be looked back on as one of the dumbest draft mistakes of all time. Marvin Harrison Jr. will become a top 5 WR and make multiple all pro and pro bowl teams throughout his career
Drake Maye will be a backup QB in less than 5 years. People will look back and say “How could the Patriots have been stupid enough to waste the 3rd overall pick on the 3rd best QB on the board when Marvin Harrison Jr. was sitting right in front of them, and they had no top tier WRs on their roster. Patriots fans are being manipulated in to more false hope that the QB drafted will be the next “face of the franchise”, they’re more concerned with painting the illusion of a team on the rise again, then actually improving the roster. New WRs don’t get all the headlines and don’t sell as many jerseys/seats, so they draft medicore QB after medicore QB just to avoid being deemed a QB-less team, so instead of properly building the roster with all their recent draft picks, they’re wasting them on QBs to turn a profit off ignorant fans that think every new QB out of college is gonna replicate their college game. Just like the Bears did to their fans with Mitch Trubisky and Justin Fields. They made millions selling hope with those terrible QBs, and wasted 2 important draft picks doing it.

Thank god the Pats got rid of him. He was great but he was done. He never would have picked Maye . Not a mistake hes still not coaching
