The Edmonton Oilers are coming off an incredible come-from-behind victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night. Connor McDavid became the fifth player in Oilers history to record nine straight 20-goal seasons when he tied the game with 5:11 left in the middle frame. Evan Bouchard eventually scored the game winner late in the third as Edmonton has won 8 of their last 9 overall and end an extended road trip in Vancouver tonight.
The Canucks have been dealing with injuries and inconsistent play from their top players, including JT Miller who was benched in the 2nd period vs the Kings Thursday. Quinn Hughes leads the team in scoring as Vancouver looks to maintain pace in the Wildcard race in the Western Conference. #oilers #edmontonoilers #nhl

I grew up in Edmonton but moved to Vancouver and am a fan of both teams. Canucks definitely are gonna get blown out by you guys tonight after 1-6 and 1-5 blowouts to the Jets and Kings. I have a feeling something drastic will happen afterwards with trades 😢

Austin you are good at the numbers, how does this team actually stack up compared to last season? Even if their positioning in the League is better, just me looking at box scores they aren’t dominating any particular area Goals For, Goals Against, Power Play or Penalty Kill. Winnipeg looks to be a much stronger team with a Goaltender to put them over the top.

Man this is a shame, we Canucks aren't doing that well this year and this could have been an epic rematch or appetizer for a huge rivalry in the play offs. If anything, I hope it's a good game. Or a game that wrecks us so bad that we make a trade to end this funk were in.
