During the second period of a recent NHL match between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning, Pens fans showered one of their own with boos and jeers after he was seen stealing a puck away from a kid who knocked it out of the above-board netting, prompting ushers and the wife of a Penguins player to step in and escort the miserable fan out of the arena. Rick Strom breaks it down. Give us your thoughts in the comments below!

  1. Behold. Groupthink at it's finest. If you can't see anything wrong with what the kid did then you are a fool. I hope he enjoys his participation trophy…

  2. what a bad situation both out of line the kid wins because he is a cute kid and the guy loses because he was a deuche old man, had the role been reversed everyone's opinions would be reversed.
A penguins game is the only game ive ever been yelled at for hitting the glass, the arena officials should have had the kid sit down until there was a break in the play. Then got the puck out and gave it to the kid. Obviously the old man made the situation worse by just not shutting the f up after the fact and making things worse. My name is not Tom……
this whole situation was distracting to the entire arena….I was at the game at the other corner and thought a fight had broken out, the Lightning scored during the commotion. The Penguins didn't recover.

  3. Imagine going through life that ornery, that you’ll steal a puck from a kid…then go get in same kid’s face because he finally got a puck from someone else…berate his family and everybody else in that area of the arena…and have absolutely no self-awareness that YOU’RE actually the problem.

  4. That old man is going to have a hard time going about his life, if people recognize him.
People bang on the glass at every hockey game I go to!

  5. You can purchase a puck at the stadium. The pucks they're using are not special, they're not signed. It's all silly unless you're a kid, then it's a cool memory.

  6. Wow. Another youtuber happily ripping off a journalist by plagiarizing their work.
And no, saying the reporter’s name does not make this not theft.

  7. Sports fans cross over into really dark behavior while trying to look “normal “ in sports jerseys and attire of their favorite teams. Fucked up mentally

  8. How hollow is your life that you would fight for a stupid hockey puck. The guy looks weeks from having a coronary so it would be a short lived souvenir anyway.

  9. I find the actions of the "family" more disturbing than that of the "old man's". The old man is reacting to something that WE DON"T SEE in the video. Some kid standing in front of you pushing on the glass isn't the coolest thing ever, and the idea that you owe it to a kid to give up the puck is preposterous.

  10. The moment the article said the kid was banging on the glass to loosen the puck, 2 things came to mind. First, that's not allowed, the plexiglass panels are not fixed, they come off rather easily. Second, the kid wasn't sitting in the front row, unless this happened during intermission, the kid had no right being there.
Now, 2 wrongs don't make a right, so there is no excuse for the old man to behave like he did.
