Trade Miller… destroyed team. Trade Pettersson… improved team. When "talking too much" is more severe than not scoring… you've lost the winning culture for the entire franchise. Trading the player with higher stats, is so dumb! possibly the dumbest ever! Miller will have more 100+ point seasons in his remaining career than Pettersson will have in his entire career!

Detroit during the 90's and 00's had lots of strong personalities. Yzerman, Fedorov, Larionov, Hull, Chelios, Lidstrom, McCarty, Draper, Shanahan, etc…. but they got along well enough to win the Cup. Winning solves all issues… either that, or it's leadership. Where's Hughes in all this? Myers, Boeser, etc. People in leadership needs to step up and resolve this problem.
They played better when JTM was out of the lineup. When he had quote personal problems. Move Miller.
This team has way bigger issues than whatever is (or isnt) going on with Miller and Petey. Its like the defense forgot how to defend. What happened last year when we were shutting teams down defensively? Theres no way thats simply the loss of Ian Cole and Zadorov. And with Hronek back, the Canucks have played WORSE.
The guys need to get their head in the game. Just play hockey. Stop thinking so hard and trying to do too much. I think everyone on the team is in their own head.
You can’t trade JT he’s a strong personality and he’s not going to quit and just let the team trade him. He’s the one who decides and he’s not going to show weakness and let them trade him. Trade EP and get a top 2 defenceman back and make the other team take some of those horrible defence contracts back and start fresh.

we already saw how pettersson played while miller was out. it was a LOT better. coincidence? maybe. kind of doubt it though.
Anyone who thought that this team was going to be significantly better than 'middle of the pack' this year, just wasn't paying attention. Had it not been for the absolutely stellar play of Lankinen, they could have been in the bottom 10. There isn't much point in sacrificing any assets now, to barely make the playoffs and get eliminated in the first round. If they do anything now, I believe that it would be to get a better lottery shot at a higher draft pick. Miller is too big a piece to this team to trade, unless a 'better than perfect' offer comes along, and Petey it going to be really difficult to trade with his stats and $ contract.
Unfortunately Lankinen might be the most Valuable, Tradable, UFA on the team at the deadline, and there will be some playoff teams looking to add him for the playoffs.
