  1. My issue is I wish we knew the owners had a plan, had a someone( a GM in waiting) ready to advise LOU to make sure we get the appropriate assets and move on from several players who are just done as islanders and need a new home.

  2. dude get that old pants pooper outta here dudes fr stinking up the place why is louzer still here????? tell him to take martin and engvall with him

  3. Lou should have retired after winning 3 cups with the Devils. He would have gone down as one of the best GM’s in history. By hanging on he’s proven that those cups had very little to do with Lou. He couldn’t rebuild the leafs, and he couldn’t take a team ready to make the next step to the cup.

  4. If he can move Lee, Palmieri, Mayfield, Pageau, Nelson, and Dobson and at the same time, free up cap space and bring back prospects and/or more picks we can turbocharge our rebuild. We finally have some good prospects in the pipeline plus we're probably going to get a top 5 pick this year. If we make the right selections, the rebuild can take 2-3 years instead of 4-5.

Whatever happens, the Isles absolutely 100% cannot run back the same crew next year. Attendance will nosedive. Already, we are seeing attendance figures in the mid 15k to 16K area, that's about 2,500 short of a sellout. And those are just tickets sold. There are thousands of more empty seats from people who purchased and decided not to show…..like me.

  5. For all his faults, some of the trades Lou made were really solid… Horvat, Romanov, Palms/Zajac (for that run. it was good.) The Toews trade was fucking trash… I think he will do well this deadline, Nelson is gonna command a lot.

  6. The islanders flipped the roster when they dealt lafontaine to the sabres and brent sutter and flatley to chicago

It went fast. We received turgeon / benoit houge/ mclawaine/ adam creighton/ ewey krupp/ etc

It was a turn of the page. Shortly after we had the 93 run
