While I had gotten frustrated with Lindy during his first stint and wasn’t overly upset when he was fired, and was cautiously excited when they announced he was coming back, I’ll be honest and say that this is NOT the Lindy Ruff I remember!
This version of Ruff just doesn’t seem to have ANY fire and when the Sabres collapse like they did in this game and so many more, I haven’t seen him crawl up a single players ass for lack of effort or stupid mistakes!
If the Coach based on his history appears to be phoning it in, why should we be surprised when some of the players are doing the same on the ice?
I hate to say it, but this team needs a year or two with John Tortorella to find some fire and passion. Maybe a little “Fear” of the Coach would help a little too.
Why in the hell would he want to come back and be behind that bench? Possibly a GM and firing all that want gone? Not sure but he would need HUGE concessions.
I have said this months ago and got laughed at on Twitter, but this group of players is uncoachable.
Sell the team and bring Rochester Americans to Buffalo. Place an ECHL team in ROC
First period Buffalo looked really good, dominant even. Then it all fell apart in a hurry as we all know. What was the turning point? Did one of the Kraken players say something mean? This team is obviously too soft, Power getting mugged and he didn't even drop his stick. Every game has these weak moments, then the Sabres fall apart.
Likely one and done. Wish Lindy had been able to pick his assistants.
Leave Levi down there for the year. Let him fully build up his confidence and make a run for the Calder Cup

Sell the Sabres to Houston and they’ll make the playoffs within 2 years given how variant the west conference can be.
Who hired Lindy? What fans wanted him? All of the answers to these questions been to be gone because they just are ruining hockey in buffalo.

Just a thought. What if the sabres took a fire sale approach then act as if they are an expansion team. Take a lot of mid level players and just start over and see if you can capture lightning in a bottle like Vegas did? At least the deck would be clear of this culture

Not Lindys fault. He still has the same assistants as granato. Get some real men instead of crappy assistants.. they can't give up so easily when they blow leads. Again Lindy is not to blame.

Every player on this team is just waiting for their turn to get traded to a contender the Sabres are nothing more than an nhl level farm team for the rest of the league
Lindy gets fired I’m forever done with this absolute joke of a franchise. Terry is a joke hiring Adams who built a weak team. To blame Lindy enjoy the suck. Sabres a solid AHL team nobody can coach this team. Boys quit on Lindy get rid of everyone fucking pouting and shitting the bed for over a decade. It’s not a good team/organization. Wayne put out a vid and it hurt bc it feels like forever now. Until Terry stays tf out of things and hires experienced people this is the abyss.
No one can win with this team I expect Lindy to just resign at the end of the season.

1. To say it's good long term that the Bruins are bad is funny because we have already passed long-term. We have watched teams rebuild, retool, reload, re-whatever and Buffalo has just sat idle.
2. It's hilarious hopping on the Sabres subreddit from time to time and seeing people posting, "There's so much talent, why are they this bad?" What talent? A single season performance of long-term deal uncoachable players make up 60% of the roster and the rest are scrubs who can't hit or tie a man up and Jason Zucker.
Is this an Adams problem? Don't know who he may have tried to sign in the offseason or want to trade for recently who just refuse to come to Buffalo and play on this sad team. Is it Ruff? I don't think so. I think he's fed up with beating his head against the wall trying to establish an identity for this team that seemingly refuses to want to be identified by a particular style of play. A team that won't do the dirty work required to win consistently. A team that is soft. A team that won't block shots, won't hit and refuses to play a defense first/transition style of game that they are actually good at. They are NOT GOOD when they try to force the offense against a team that clogs the neutral zone and causes them to commit mistake after mistake after mistake while never altering their approach. Their defensive awareness and coverage are abysmal. And UPL seems to be able to put about 3 good games together but then follows those with a couple of stinkers. What's all of this add up to? A real crappy NHL team. Simple as that.

I'm disappointed that Adams hasn't made a trade. I'd like to know the details of the trade with Detroit that fell through.
The Sabres issues aren't Lindt's fault. If anyone deserves blame, it's GM Adams who drafted all these SMURFS. We are small and the softest team in the NHL. Seriously, does anyone think we're going to win enough games to make the playoffs with Smurfs like Krebs, Benson, Peterka, Quinn, Bryson, and Jokiharju. Get real.

Kevyn and Lindy both look defeated and it’s hard on young players who’ve never won…Buffalo scores enough goals they just can’t keep the puck out of the net

Team needs a complete overhaul of hockey operations period. Pegula has to let go of Kim's ties to the team.
They should burn down the roster instead of firing Lindy. No one should be considered untradeable or uncuttable unless they are producing.
Zach Benson and Jason Zucker are carrying this team spiritually and are the only coachable guys on the team.
It’s the culture of established players. No pride ; No Togetherness; No toughness PHYSICAL or MENTAL ; No Leadership in management or locker room; No confidence; No consequences for poor play. They don’t have an IQ to play a complete game of hockey. Same problems year after year

Why does he keep putting Cozens on the PP? He is one of 103 players with over 700 minutes of PP time since he has been in the league, of those 103 players he is dead last (103rd) in PP goals. He scores a pp goal about 1 out of every 30 games, his 'goals for per' on the PP is one of the lowest on the team over his career, meaning he drags down the rest of the guys on the PP.
Whey do all the coaches keep putting him out there? Oh, he also scores a game winner 1 out of every 70 games he plays.
Lindy has learned nothing from past experiences. He has no problem benching young players but will not hold the so called "stars" accountable. You will NEVER see Tage, Rasmus or Power scratched for a full game or more
Lindy was fired from the Sabres over a decade and will be fired again. What was he thinking coming to Buffalo with these lazy kids.
