  1. I think it could work its helps both teams, I think people on New Jerseys side who would be saying "No" just dont understand the player they would be getting in Evans, He would instantly impact there defensive game, PK, faceoff, ect hes probably one of the best utility players in the NHL and now that the production is there. Its benefits us by having a extra RD man as were gonna be losing some soon and it also helps it would bring extra comfort to slaf having a childhood friend around, Instant boost to his confidence. I dont know if Maybe Evans and our Late 1st gets its done.

  2. lol if that happen its gonna be another shitty trade like newhook, barron and Dach… Habs core is reimbacher, Mailloux and carrier. IF MERCER IS NOT IN THE DEAL, you end the call..

  3. That would be a move if the habs doesn't aim for the playoff but, with their recent wins, I don't think they resigned so that would not be a great move.
However, if they are seller and count on Beck to take Evan's place on the 3rd line, then yes, he will take some experience for next season.

I'm just curious how far NJD GM is ready to go to get Evans. Being KH, I ask it and evaluate what is my floor acceptable trade to not being in the payoffs.

  4. Apparently, they are not looking for futures and Montreal can't offer what they want, which is a top 6 forward.

  5. Habs fans talking about the Devils situation like they have a clue. Nemec is a huge part of the Devils future and they're not trading him for a 4c that is an UFA and +++. Do Habs fans live in the real world?

  6. Plus the Flames first? as a starting point? Um no. Nemec ain't no Bobby Orr. I think the Devils would do damn well with Evans on their 4th plus Mailloux.

  7. Right now, Pascal Vncent ( head coach, Rocket de Laval AHL) has the mandate to improve the defensive game of Mailloux, so i'll be ready next year to play with the big team… Nemec vs Mailloux, forget abouti it, won't happen!

  8. NJ says… NO BLEEPING WAY! Not giving a future Top Pairing D (which is invaluable) for a bottom 6 forward, a potential problem / 3rd pairing D at best, a who knows if he will ever make the NHL D and a pick. No… just no.

  9. It could be Evans and a draft choice (2nd or 3rd) for Nemec. NJ have plenty of Ds and better than Nemec. They need a good defensive center.

  10. With Dvorak leaving , Evans and Armia need to stay or the habs will fall right back at the bottom of the league , all that progress will be for nothing , take Evans and dvorak out and then you’re forced to put Suzuki on the pk , which affects caufield , Slafkovsky and everyone on Suzukis line at 5vs5

You already have newhook and Dach playing center when they shouldn’t be

  11. 1) Our pipeline is full of defensive prospects. We need room for them.
    2) Evans is more valuable to the Habs than Nemec.
