It doesn’t matter what Coach you got on the other side of Lamar Jackson.
For billionaire business owners, it is all about the valuation of their businesses. In the NFL a team's valuation is based on the valuation of the NFL, not on a team's specific and individual valuation, which means an owners valuation doesn't increase if your win super bowls, and it doesn't decrease if you don't. Owning a team is a portfolio asset they will always benefit from every year. There is really no significant need to spend a lot of money on player personnel, as that doesn't help or hurt your teams valuation. Trying to understand ownership from a non-owners interest is futile. They aren't asking to hear from you. Journalists and podcasters can, however, fuel the fire by making this a story when it's not so they can increase the valuation of their own shows or podcasts by clicks and views. For an NFL owner, there's really no story here. They are not seeking your advice.
Every new Steelers coach goes to the Superbowl. Pack your bags Mike.
Tomlin has to go
That he won’t step down shows his stubbornness
3 playoff wins in 14 seasons
9-8 is the standard, apparently
RAVENS????
His time in Pittsburgh peaked. There's nothing more he can do.
It’s gm problem, not mikes
Kevin Colbert FAILED to draft a QB to replace Big Ben a Omar Khan FAILED to fix the OL and DL, while Tomlin seems to be the only one that gets blamed for it. Start calling out the GMs at some point
Cut Russ, Keep Fields and get him better weapons other than Pickens!
would've loved to hear from RC on this topic
Everyone expects so much from Mike Tomlin but he hasn't had a real QB since Big Ben left lol the Steelers have had 3 coaches in 60 years and they all have won super bowls 😂It's clearly a front office problem and not the head coach lol
Congratulations to Ryan Day on being the first white coach to coach in the 12 team playoffs national championship. Shout out to ESPN for making the game about skin color.
Tomlin should have stayed with Fields
Why didn't the Steelers go get King Henry? That is the problem let's admit it this is all click bait. Kahn just got here and things will be fixed.
It's been time for ESPN to depart with all of you. These reporters just love to talk and stir drama. All you fair weather Steeler fans just go away, so when we win next season you can eat Crow.
What let him go so he can come and beat the black and yellow out of us when another team has him?
The biggest problem but something no one talks about when they bring up Tomlin’s failures is the fact that he won’t innovate and adjust to modern football he still uses plays from years ago, doesn’t he think other coaches in the nfl have caught on to what he does?
Just run a poll of steelers fans ,id say 9o percent of us say should be let go ,8 yrs without a playoff win lol,we have 8 super bowl appearances 6 titles, hes just not very good coach, coaches scared.
Stephen A. never says anything that's not already massively known 😴
The Eagle and Andy Reid is a perfect comparison and the grass was greener on the other side for both
Tomlin is not the problem, lack of good players is the problem. Need we remind people, THIS TEAM was expected to win FOUR OR FIVE games this season in pre-season analysis.
If they move on from Tomlin it will be a monumental mistake that they WILL regret when he wins a championship somewhere else.
What we as Steelers fans NEED is for the front office, GM, Team Ownership, to DO THEIR JOB and get Tomlin SOME TALENT that isn't named WATT, PICKENS or FREIERMUTH. GET THOSE DUDES SOME HELP!
So we not gone give Lamar any praise?!!!?! Yall ain’t 💩
😂 just say what yall wanna say they need to tank lol what fn QB you grabbing that late
Damian wonder's last statement made know sense lol like it's hard to go to three different teams to win a playoff game
He said it right Tomlin and the Steelers have gotten far too comfortable with each other. It is time to part ways.
Why does anyone listen to Stephen A about football? He doesn’t know anything more about football than your less than average fan. He can read of stats really well 🤣
Steelers moving w/o Poet Coach Mike Tomlin? Of course NOT! .MY OPINION IS : STANDARD OF A WINNING TEAM = 2 SIDES OF THE COIN STILL COACH WITH QB or QB WITH COACH. This year not true to Steelers!
We all love Mike Tomlin. But,..if this was any other coach,..on any other team,…with the same postseason record the last 9 years,….
Tomlin one year as a DC and a couple years as a secondary coach and he got a head coaching job. He was a defensive coach.
Highest paid defense for 3 years straight. 3 first team all pro defensive players. No talent on the current team? He has a future Hall of Fame Super bowl winning QB. Also, he's responsible for picking the team at this point in his career he holds that kind of power.
Out of 18 seasons coaching he only won a playoff game 4 times, so 14 out of 18 seasons he did not win a playoff game.
He took over a team that had 2 future hall of famers on defense & 3 on offense. A lot of coaches could have won a superbowl with that roster.
Ben got injured in the 2019 season and he retired 2 seasons after that. Who would have their last season be a year when they got hurt? Or the covid year with no fans and your team is out coached and beat at home vs the Browns. No one could walk away then. Also, in 2018 before he got hurt and when everyone says they should have moved on. He threw for over 5,000 yards and 36 TDs. So why would you think he's washed at that point?
Also, no losing seasons? That started before he got there. Big Ben never had a losing season. The no losing season started 3 years before Tomlin got there.
STEELERS NEED TO MOVE ONE!!! TOMLIN IS A CANCER TO THIS TEAM!!!
your definitely misrepresenting the steelers fanbase, shannon. we are not okay with this mediocrity
Tomlin should have been fired years ago
Steelers defense dint know 💩 and how to tackle !!!!!!!! Steelers team need to be rebuilt with out Tomlin !!! And Arthur smith is just 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
The man hasn't had a losing season and his career and you're talking about firing him fire the GM?
most overrated rated coach in professional sports
He will get other job in a heartbeat
No one talking about tj watt being non existent every time they play the ravens he had the same stats as me and I was in the bed. So I don’t have any pity for him he should be held accountable
I wish as Ravens fans we can keep the main thing, the main thing. And that's winning the superbowl. Not looking for accolades and pats on the back. Who cares what dap we receive or don't. Focus on the goal. Not the noise.
Barely over .500 regular season and well below .500 post. Nope
Mediocre Mike. The standard in Pittsburgh for the last number of years has been mediocrity.
How many QB should to cycle though before it’s enough.
Trubisky
Pickett
Wilson
Fields
Oh I forgot Ben’s team that only own one Super Bowl. If we had a better coach, we should have own 2 more. Nobody gets these many changes to fail. We have had great teams. He had his ride with cowers team, and since then he had waisted teams and players by being great and average. If he was not a great speaker most people would have dump him a long time ago. Your ability to be a great speaker or politician does not make you a great coach. Can’t develop players and has no coaching tree. Thats a great coach? 😂
Upgrade coach cower only lasted 15 yrs time for separation from tomlin
Ben's gone everyone is gone but Coach T
The standard in Pittsburgh is clearly consistency. They stuck with Cower and he didn’t have the success of Tomlin they aren’t going to fire him stop
Add Depth to the OLine add another Tall Splash WR, Add more Depth to the D-Line grab another stud CB and be more aggressive on defense and stop running nickel on run heavy teams and go back to the 3-4 zone blitz run D Line stunts so they can’t always chip TJ do the standing formation like we did with troy and the boys to hide the blitz OPEN THE PLAYBOOK AND BE AGGRESSIVE that’s the Pittsburgh Steelers Problem it’s being beaten by teams with more Fire power and the coordinators coming with trash schemes not tomlin it’s always fire tomlin but meanwhile the O couldn’t catch a cold the last 2 games
