  1. Did you enjoy this video? If so, what team would you want me to talk about next for something similar?

  2. i’m a cards fan and yeah you were spot on with this whole breakdown fs. modern baseball takes a little more than magic now

  3. The Cardinals managed to fleece my Rockies for Arenado and somehow ended up basically in the same hole we live in.

Sort of sad. I was a Cards fan growing up because we didn't have baseball on Colorado, so I always have fond feelings for them. But things have gone off the rails badly.

  4. It's interesting that aside from the Dodgers and Yankees, we have repeatedly seen other teams seem to have "figured it out" and having a good run of 3-5 years, and then crash, probably because they got wedded to the ideas that got them success.

We're now seeing it with the Rays, Jays, even now the Stros (winning the AL West wasn't exactly an accomplishment this year). Yes the Brewers seem to be doing it but, they went thru a dead period with failed prospects after a good run in the teens. Is hard to know when to stop focusing on what got you success and start focusing on how things are changing. The Braves seem to be trying to do that, and wonder if Phil's can do it.

Or you can just have enough money to hire the best talent and sign the best players, ala the Dodgers and Yankees.

I'd say that the Cardinals magic was bought by Disney and given to the Dodgers as a gift because they today are what the Cards were 2004-2019.

  5. The Cardinals taught me to never trust Kershaw in the playoffs. After the Matt Adam's home run Kershaw became my most hated Dodger ever. Thank you Cardinals.

  6. Can’t forget they traded edman and he went on to help the dodgers win the World Series

  7. This video is purportedly about the Cardinals losing their way, and more than half of that is about winning the 2011 World Series. Disappointing.

  8. The Braves collapse came at the same year as the beer and chicken sox. Still to this day one of my worst days ever as baseball fan living in the 617.

  9. Awesome video. I can not wait till you make a video about the 2024 dodgers post season run

  10. As a Braves fans the Cardinals give us nightmares from the 2010's. You missed the Braves being up 4-3 in Game 4 of 2019 NLDS only for a bloop single off Freddie's glove in the 8th to tie it.

  11. 20 years of winning records. 2 WS titles, 4 appearances. 1st ballot HOFer. Yeah we can have our down time, we were good for so long. So many great memories. Now it's time to adjust and rebuild for a new run of dominance.

  12. thanks for going over the play off race and playoff series. 2011 was so wild i forget how we got to the WS that year. (except the squirrel, no one forgets Rally Squirrel)

  13. Albert Pujols at 57 having a great season. He’s so old for someone to have been born in 1980 😂

  14. As a Cardinals fan this hurt to watch. I miss the days when we were feared around the league, hopefully that comes back one day…

  15. Maybe they did sell their souls? Another unfortunate event that happened that made things worse was the death of Oscar Taverez, their future power hitter. I want to see Cards magic again but they aren’t different from any other teams. The pendulum swings all the time. First step, get rid of Mo and maybe Dewitt can sell the team to someone who cares about winning again?

  16. I will also add that when the Cardinals finally start beating the Giants and Red Sox again, this is when we know that they are back. Cards could never figure the Giants out after 2000.
