Went to the oilers game – this is why we can’t sell tickets or retain fans – that was a brutal loss. And Edmonton didn’t even play particularly well. Edmonton isn’t even that good of a team! They have mcdavid and draisaitl, so what – they didn’t win the cup – they won’t be cup contenders this year, last year was a fluke – their goalie sucks – these are teams we need to be able to beat.
I wouldn’t say it’s a good thing when we don’t know what our first line looks like – most teams that win have established first lines. Colorado? It’s Mackinnon and Rantanen, that’s the first line – there is no question and they dominate. If we don’t have a definitive first line then we have a problem. The truth is our first line is whatever line Tim Stutzle is on – but they haven’t found the right match in wingers for him yet. That’s the truth – no one can keep up with his play right now and that’s a problem – Tim is a step ahead of everyone else on the team in terms of how fast he can make plays and passes. How many times have we seen a player shocked on the slot that the puck is all of a sudden on their stick due to an amazing pass by Timmy and then they’re too late getting it off allowing the goalie to set up or D to get in the lane? Too often. Timmy is our first line – they need to find who has the best chemistry with him on wing and build out from there. That should be the priority.

Well I'm happy JBD is back and Hammer is out. I want to see a strong performance from Ullmark tonight I haven't been impressed with him so far this season he needs to find his groove and the team needs to play a full 60 minutes no taking your foot off the gas. The Oilers game when they were down they basically gave up and showed zero effort. I want this to be a bounceback game for us and start heading in the right direction. Also looking forward to Gregor getting back into the lineup we need his speed especially on the PK unit.
