Pierre Luc Dubois owns the Canucks and Quinn Hughes

Pierre-Luc Dubois has been a polarizing figure in the NHL over the past few seasons. Last night, he was a force against the Canucks, scoring both goals in Washington’s 2-1 overtime victory. Both goals came from driving hard to the net—a testament to the gritty style of play that gets results in today’s NHL.Dubois also stirred the pot by targeting Quinn Hughes, who recently returned from a hand injury. Hughes, the Canucks’ best player, clearly wanted no part of a physical battle, but Dubois wasn’t about to ease up. It’s a classic example of using physicality to disrupt an opponent’s game, and Dubois executed it perfectly. #hockey #nhl #vancouvercanucks

  1. It’s intriguing to see Dubois excelling with the Capitals, especially when the Montreal Canadiens chose not to make a move for him. For Canucks fans, his antics against Hughes might sting, but love him or hate him, Dubois is showing why he’s a difference-maker.
What are your thoughts on PLD? Has he truly found his home in Washington? And how do you feel about his trolling of Hughes? Let me know in the comments.

  2. I had not seen clip of Dubois dumping Hughes. I checked the schedule. Washington is in Vancouver on January 25.

  3. Nope. No matter if you are a Canucks fan – trying to fight with a player that doesn't want to is just cowardly. Plus he knew Hughes was not 100%.
