Pre-Game Report: Edmonton Oilers vs Minnesota Wild



The Edmonton Oilers are back on the road to begin a three-game road trip against the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night at Xcel Energy Center following their 1-0 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday in a one-off homestand at Rogers Place. “It’s been a busy stretch here. A lot of travelling around,” Connor McDavid said after Monday’s win on home ice. “A quick little pit stop here and back out on the road, so a big couple of games, but I like how we’re playing. We’ll be fine.” Leon Draisaitl is looking to add to his NHL-best goal total, while the Oilers look to continue their dominance since early November.     Mildly concerned for Eckholm, though: In this morning's presser, when asked if he could give a more specific update about him not skating in practice, Knobs just said, "no, i can't."

    If it was just a flu bug or maintenance rest, you'd think he would just share that.

    Scheduled loss.. I think it will he a 3-2 Wild OT win. I think it will be a fun good game but Wild are very good. I say the 2025 Hart winner (Draisaitl) and Hyman gets the 2 goals

    Doesn't Jeff Skinner have a Modified No Trade Clause + No Waive? Either way I think he will Waive that considering he's a talented player probably not happy he's sitting out. I do imagine though that he does want to go to a other team that's looking to compete. Maybe LA? Rangers could be an option they need a shake up and probably still are in win now mode.

    I like the way Kapanen plays and what he provides to the team. I think he is a skilled player, and besides that he fights hard for loose pucks. I would like him to score a goal against the Wild.

    Other than that, it would be nice to see more than one single goal today, by the way… 😅Go Oilers!!!

    I might have some bias as I have a personal dislike for Knoblauch but I don't under the J.Skinner situation . Never given a fair shot and when he gets a short look he looked good and still gets the scratch . If he's being traded it better be for somebody physical
