They just lost at home to the Kraken. The Kraken have the 5th worst record in hockey. The Pens have 44 points in 46 games. The Kraken have 41 points in only 45 games with a game in hand on the Pens. The Pens are 3 points from being a top 5 lotto pick. Pens are currently 10th worst in the league. The Pens have the most goals against in the NHL at 173. Sharks are 2nd worst at 161GA. Pens are a joke. Trade Rakell $1m retained to the Oilers for Matthew Savoie and Jeff Skinner.
The Pens are an incomplete team with no second line, because there is no right wing. The 2nd line is Bunting-Malkin-nobody. Crosby has come back to life because he has 2 competent wingers in Rust and Rakell. Rakell or Rust has to be 2nd line right wing so the Pens have 2 lines. Maybe a trade for Nils Hoglander or Nick Robertson to be Sid's left wing, so Rust or Rakell can be Geno's right wing creating a bona fide 2nd line.
You think Dubas dicking around with the roster any more is going to change anything? Any manager who signed Jarry to 5.5 and EK to ten, ok he took him on, is a fool.

rakell blew his coverage on the tying goal he was on the wrong side of his guy , not a play you would expect of a veteran player . he is an excellent trade chip for carolina, colorado , minesota to name a few

He is literally playing at that level. I bet if we switched goalies with the wheeling nailers he would play better😂!!
