  1. WTF?? "I thought Petterson was the best player on the ice" — Jamie McLennan is full of crap! I watched that whole game and the best player on the ice was Quinn Hughes, with a goal and an assist, not to mention his tremendous play throughout the game. He was followed by Kevin Lankinen who has been consistently outstanding. Petterson got an assist and had a good game, but hardly "the best on the ice". Garland and Boeser and Sherwood were great too. Even Tyler Myers got two assists, one more than Petterson It seems the Canucks hockey media have to keep promoting this Petterson myth to justify his huge contract. I refuse to buy into it. Right now Petey is way down at #111 in the NHL League Leaders for goals/assists, while Hughes is at #22. When Petterson gets up into the 20s with Hughes where he should be right now, then I will start believing that he isn't totally over-rated, overpaid and long overdue to live up to the hype.

  2. Wow, criticize Petterson and you sure get some negative responses from all the Petey fans. They continue to think that his huge contract and his really poor stats are OK. Sorry but I disagree. He's a good player, but nowhere near the elite level that he's been hyped to be. If he suddenly explodes and gets up into the Top 10-20 in the NHL for goals/assists in the next couple of months before playoffs, I'll eat my words but I know I'm right.

  3. boys gotta put some good games and wins together if they want a chance at the dance later

  4. I got attacked by a couple of whining Petey fans who just can't accept any criticism of their hero. They don't care about his lousy stats. They think he's a superstar because that's what they have all been told. They continue to believe Petey is worth all the money he gets, and soon he's going to "turn it around" and become a truly elite franchise superstar on the level of Mackinnon, McDavid, Matthews, Dreisatl, Ovechkin and all the other Highest Paid players in the NHL. All I have done is point out the truth: Sorry folks, it ain't going to happen. As a lifelong Canucks fan, I wish it would happen too, but I've accepted the fact and you haven't.

  5. Long time listener and actually someone who enjoyed Donnie’s commentary a lot. His old persona is gone. It’s all trash now just trying to appeal to the worst kinds of Canucks twitter. Whatever pays the bills I guess. Fucking done with this show.

  6. Vancouver fans have never had an 11+ Million Dollar player and it shows. Relax. Hopefully management is having a more level headed conversation about the cap and star players. Same "problem" they have in Toronto. Boohoo we drafted and developed too many 11M dollar+ players. Cry me a river. How many teams in the league would kill to have a Centre that could play to 11M+? Columbus, Detroit, Montreal, Seattle, Utah, Chicago, Nashville, and many more. Enjoy the position Benning has put us in with his excellent drafting.
