As an LA Kings fan this was definitely a lot better season for the Kings that I originally expected since I thought they were gonna take a massive step back and even missed the playoffs this year but this is probably the best kings team I’ve seen in years probably since 2014
Doom and gloom predictions amused me. Kings played most of the season, made the playoffs and nearly defeated Edmonton in seven games WITHOUT DOUGHTY in 2022. While higher in the NHL rankings than I expected, they are where I thought they would be in the Pacific. Good luck with the channel and issues.
I don't know why "missing Doughty" has been mentioned multiple times, I just don't feel that Doughty has been a positive for the Kings on defensive end for the last couple of seasons since he can no longer play with speed anymore but somehow still like to push the puck forward.
For the NHL employee who is coming into claim this commentary tell your bosses to fuck themselves and take a look at F1. Ever since they embraced social media and let content creators do their thing the sport has been growing rapidly to the previous rule of Bernie Ecclestone.
You exposed your ignorance early in this video by intimating that the Kings are excelling defensively in spite of Doughty's absence rather than BECAUSE of it. The same way the Leafs are a better defensive team without Matthews and the Oilers are better defensively without Nurse, the Kings are better without Doughty. His offense does not come close to compensating for his lack of defensive ability not to mention his lack of intelligence. He is a carbon copy of Nurse as well as Tanev. They're all overrated because of their better than average offense and their size. Really watch their play in their own zone and you will see their lack of intelligence.
Shame on the NHL for destroying NHL creators like you, Hockey Psychology. Not suprising, IMO the NHL is trying to suppress criticism and fan comentary , like they throttled independent NHL journalism. This has nothing to do with copyrights, it's about control. The NHL is weakly led, and fearful of it's educated fanbase. They don't like critics they cant silence or intimidate.
God man as a kings fan I’ve just been hoping we can 1) get a player who can drive our offense. And I know it won’t happen but getting Peterson or miller from Vancouver would be awesome. And 2)please. God. Get our power play going. It’s been awful recently but that’s all I really have to complain about. Kuemper has been absolutely stellar, our scoring depth is good, we just need some star talent to give us that spark

That was one hell of a game last night, you just can't make ANY mistakes against them or you're made to pay. Should be an awesome 4th straight first round match-up. I was happy that no one got hurt, McDavid slamming the kid's head into the edge of the boards was scary, same with Kempe getting undercut.
Kempe + Kuemper….. 2 royal pains in the Oilers’ sides. They always play great against our boys. LA’s a scary team and they’re already built for the playoffs. I just hope it isn’t the Oilers they play again in the 1st round. 😬
Yes, I'll agree with you there, Eck. A 1-0 game is usually a boring one, but this one was end-to-end action. Credit to both goalies, they each played great.
