Still no guarantee louzer wont deal that first just to push for eighth. He's done it before. Who's to say he wont do it again? And these aren't trotz isles that just need to get in and make damage. This senile fool is on borrowed time. Staying close to playoffs is contender status in louzer's mind. And louzer has that first and petey being dangled out there. With two ufa's and others that can get isles some needed picks/assets there is no excuse for louzer not to move them by tdl. And not one move for playoff push is gonna make any difference, This is still a highly flawed team, a 3 game winning streak can't hide that fact. And playoff push will be a lot harder this season. Pens aren't done, habs, sens, bjs turning corner. Wings now red hot and 7-1 on a 7 game w streak after coaching change.
Isles are still 5-6 pts. behind w c spots with 5 teams between isles and last w c spot. Third in division is out of reach with canes 14 pts. ahead of isles. Isles with 40 games left would need around 54 pts. and go 27-15 to get 95 pts. to have a shot at playoffs not factoring in loser pts. plus isles trail all teams in row too. That may not even be good enough with better teams up and down east standings. To not move moveable assets this tdl is fools thinking on louzer's end if he doesn't. Best thing to do would be to make moves sooner than later giving roy time to work with a new roster. Maybe roy if he stays around should talk to former teammate/wing ass't coach tanguay who runs wings pp about a job next season. Wings resurgance can be tied to a red hot pp now clicking in top 3 during w streak. Isles sorry sp. teams haven't improved-that will be their downfall. Recent history shows teams with last ranked pp/pk miss the playoffs.
Gil, most of us know we have to trade at the very least Nelson,palms. Of course jgp,Casey, Anders like u said could all go. But for me, theirs know hope that senile Lou will do the right thing. Someone who’s 82 doesn’t care about our future. We’re already in worse shape than he left jersey. I hope malkin steps in but I don’t think he gives a crap from across the pond. Unload the veterans bring up half of Bridgeport and let the kids get a taste of the nhl. Jeffries,maggio, dufour, can’t hurt. Stock up on picks or better yet get some prospects ready to make their nhl debut. Tank for # 1 Hagens lol
Fools gold Gil. The last 3 wins are a smokescreen. They will fail spectacularly during this homestand because they are just not a very good team. Sell whatever you can, and retool. Fire Lou after the season, fire Roy, and get a whole new group in here. Its either that, or its going to be a painful dose of mediocrity in perpetuity.

The Islanders are healthier than they've been all season. If the Islanders ten points out of the homestand, they've got a strong chance to make the playoffs. The Islanders practiced yesterday. Isiah George ⛸️ , but we still don't know what his status is. Hohlstrom didn't skate. Patrick Roy shuffled his lines again. Anthony DuClair's not quite right, but I'm convinced he'll get back on track. Maxim Tsyplakov's still getting used to life . The NHL. They're playing Ottawa tonight. The Senators are 🔥 one day, and 🥶 the next.

I want to see the team win, but I will lose all respect for this franchise if they let Brock and Palms walk for free in hopes to get bounced in the 1st rd of playoffs, or miss playoffs altogether. Asset management needs to be a priority
Good morning team! Gil, unlike some of the other comments, I like to believe the team is making a turn and could hit a bigger win streak. Could I be wrong, of course, but I choose to remain optimistic, even though I agree, the rebuild should happen. As an Islander fan, I want to see the team do well (winning) versus anything else. Call me crazy lol. This morning I checked to see what the final score of the game was last night. Even though I knew they had the Sens tonight, and I'll be watching the game.
