Dach is back on track!
Lane Train keeps going. 8th multipoint game and first 3 point night. Dach does look good being in front of the net on the powerplay using his 6'4" frame to screen the opposing goalie effectively. Slaf is more effectively when he keeps moving on the ice. Since after Xmas, the team seems to definitely be better at fighting adversity and not give up, playing a more effective 60 minutes.
Pezz getting so mis-used. Less than 4 mins of ice time, 2nd amount of hits on the team. Only Struble had more hits, with over 3X the amount of ice time.
If yah aren't going to use him, trade him. Laine comes back and he will be riding the pine again. I get it though, who do you take out to put Pezz in, but geez, use him more than 4mins a game.
Hutson looked incredible tonight. I never wanted him to leave the ice he just looked so good all night. Even after a couple big hits he took he still got up and made plays. What a chippy game but a big win
The game puck thing at the end was funny. Good on them to get ref the puck for his 1,500th game.
Hutson could have had two more assists tonight if his teammates didn't miss open nets. It's crazy to see how much offence this kid can create in a single game.
I said at the beginning of the year that the rebuilt was over , the habs have too many prospects with almost no spot available , Davidson , demidov, Roy, Harris, Kapanen, Mesar , Hage beck , mailloux , Reinbacher ,tuch , xhekaj bogdan , Fowler , volokhin , all these guys are knocking at the door but not many spots open . You can look at it anyway you want but that’s a lot of depth . Plus they have another 11 picks for 2025
Montreal will be forced to trade a lot of guys regardless if they make the playoffs or not .
And now Dach is almost at 100%
Montreal are 2 players to be a contender , a left handed center and a big physical right handed defenseman
You don’t beat the last 4 Stanley cup winners within a week and call it a fluke
How about Anderson , he’s always the first guy on the puck on the dump, this guy and his speed and his ability to get pucks outta corner is creating momentum .
Put the kid back on the net
Correction, Suzuki has 41 points in 40 games. Historically speaking.. the captain takes it to the next level during the second half of the season. He had 13 points in the first ten games after the halfway mark, 25 points in 20 games and 43 in his last 41 games. He had 34 points in his first 41 games of the season.
Edit: forgot to mention that he started scoring the bulk of his goals in the second half as well.
So many good things to look forward to for the habs, and they don’t even have Demidov or Fowler yet! I don’t see playoffs this year but in a couple years they will own them
I won't lie. The playoff spot is not a priority for me this season. Seeing the Habs do what they are going, however, is fun!! High up on my wishlist is beating the Senators at the end of February. The recent past has not been great against them, and I am sick of it. Go Habs!
Its been a fantastic ride, but we also have to see that we are 6 points from dead last. The conference is so tight, it's gonna be really hard to make it….
Stanley Cup time!! Like St Louis Blues several years ago! Giant killers! What will happen when they get Demidov?
Habs are unreal 😍 cant wait for Demigod omg !!!!!!!!!!!
Just saying we got hot when my dog got her Habs collar lol
The hell with the wild card…we are at 4 pts of the Bruins with 2 games in hands
Well we were promised the Habs would be in the playoff hunt this year.
I wish Newhook would begin to show some offensive talent.
Hutson will never win the Calder over "superstar" Michkov and "generational" Celebrini. Lane wouldn't be the first Canadien to not win the Calder when it was deserved.
Hutson = Calder + stud = superstar
Great come-from-behind win by the Habs. Lane "Mr. Moves" Hutson is a star. Hutson goes around the opposition like they're nailed to the ice.
There is a big bias towards Hutson for the Calder but I love the enthusiasm. Celebrini is going to win it still, being the 3rd best in scoring while playing 10 games less is insane. You can also make the argument toward Hutson being a D man but Celebrini brings more to a strugling Sharks team than Hutson is to the Canadiens I feel. The season is not over yet though
Hutson is what habs needed to lead an attack
Caufield is what they need for scoring
Laine isn’t doing much on 5v5 but he punishes teams on PP
Suzuki isn’t a superstar 1st center like other teams have but he’s a dominant two way player with great vision. He’ll consistently set plays up and gather way more assists. Underrated for sure.
If they can add one superstar, one medium star and find a solid goalie tandem, I think the rebuild will be nearly done.
LETS GO BOYS!
Lane Hutson is going to be an all star hall of famer. This kid has already taken over top spot on our Defense in his rookie year and looking good defensively along with the insane offensive game.
I don't care who wins the Calder. I want him to help these guys make the Playoffs.!
If I made it this far, and haveny subscribed yet…
'It is what it is.' What
Just subscribed. Love the visuals and positive attitude.
I called for the Habs to be in the playoffs at the first of the year the watching how they where coached to play in the defensive zone I said bottom 3 it's obvious to see some one stepped in to help with getting the team to play in the d zone they still need to get bigggger on back end and tougher to play against but we have a good core to build around
Suzuki>Miller
It's time to give DOBES the first string STARTER title ..!! Monty has a consistency issue.
The team seems to play with more confidence when DOBES is in net ..!! Hope he continues to shine ..!! Go HABBIES .
If lane wins the calder montreal will go back to back calders Hudson to demidov
This team is fun to watch.
They scored 5 goals yesterday, with no Laine, AND their goalie made 4 or 5 amazing saves.
The fight in this team and confidence is GREAT.
kirby"s goal was pure luck it touch a guy stick !
Hutson is right now a top 5 offensive defencemen in the league.
42 games left. HABS has to keep winning at least 3 out 4 games (which it's not impossible with how they're playing lately) to keep that playoff spot.
