I know the Caps haven;t been playing the best but they are in 1st place in the entire NHL right now
Flyers a little low considering they have the 10th best player in the NHL.
I think Seattle should be lower than St.Louis, Anaheim, Philadelphia, NYR, NYI, Vancouver.

As a West Coast fan I have some optimistic notes. The much maligned Pacific Division currently sits with 3 of the top 4 teams in the rankings. Also the much maligned Canadian franchises occupy 3 of the top 5 spots. As for my team the Canucks, despite injuries and inconsistent play they are still in a playoff spot thanks primarily to having Quinn Hughes playing like a man possessed and carrying the team on his back.

Rangers are looking a lot better now, it seems they have collected themselves mentally and good vibes are back. Hopefully this trend continues and they keep inching closer to a playoff spot. This team has way too much talent to miss the playoffs.

Oh, Shannon, the Kings at #1? Prepare for the fall-will they burn? Ya, I'm superstitious. But, back in February 2009, my garage and office were burned to the ground-thanks to a criminal-but the Kings then played Calgary that next night and got "flamed" by Calgary 3 to 0. So, with L.A. burning, I rather expected this to happen. Wolf was the better goalie, but Rittich wasn't so bad. the score was a typical Kings game (at least for this year). But one does have to ask themselves what those high scoring forwards were getting paid to do in this game. 2 to 1 implies they did…basically…NOTHING! Keep up the good work, Shannon. Still waiting to see the kitties and bunny.

I think I've finally accepted the idea of liking the Kraken being consistently bad for a better draft pick at this point.
LA kings are first but at the moment they have far bigger issues in LA than winning hockey or any sports events!

New Jersey is too high in my opinion. 5-4-1 in their last 10 games. They are only ahead of teams in the conference because of games in hand. I realize the teams trailing them have to win those games, but still New Jersey has not been playing like a top tier team and should be on the second row. Just my thoughts. Always find it interesting.
