The Vancouver Canucks lose to the Carolina Hurricanes. Thatcher Demko looked alright in his return, but honestly the team just has to start playing with more urgency. The Canes were on a back to back and we made this an easy ride on them. The Canuck Stars Elias Pettersson and JT Miller have to be better than that.

I switched from the game to The Shopping Channel. Way more exciting! Completly lost interest in the Canucks.
Defence is big slow and soft can’t move the puck at all and you wonder why Brannstrom can’t even dress.

It's the NHL, the degrees of separation are minimal and on any given day any team can win. It's not like they are getting blown out of the building. I like watching them play, even if they lose by a goal or two.
Feels like Tocchet choosing sides against petey in favor for miller. Tocchet wants petey to be miller and he's not. Tocchet always scrambling lineups, if they are working or not. He doesn't believe in "chemistry".
I think the miller thing, but also tocchet is on Millers side, is really getting into peteys head.
Everyone's saying "the offense isn't generating", or "it's not the offense, it's the defense", or "it's the coach", or "it's the Petey Miller drama", or "it's the Vancouver media", or "it's the weather", or "insert new excuse here", but the truth is that they're all kind'a right and the formula just isn't working right now because it's a bit of all of the above, and most of the less than gritty and not so energetic or overly skilled pieces of the team seem to have just given up on the season already, and given how the year's gome and how it contrasts with last year as they really haven't been able to catch a break, it's kind of understandable that they're spiritually demotivated.
But, still, there's definitely a bit too much for the players to handle on their own and it looks like they're lacking the too down experience and leadership fortitude to grind through it and get back in the 'W' column. They have to decide at thus point wherher a push for and in the postseason would even be worth it, or if they need to reassess and work on building a more robust core that'll be able to compete next year. Alas, patience and foresight have never been anywhere in this organization's skillset and fortes.

I mean with all the leads blown this season and lack of scoring at times. The worst stat is the shots per game, Canucks are dead last in the league… with the forward group we have, they should be firing rubber non stop but nope.. they like to do things the hard way. The season is a wash ladies and gents… maybe next year?

Why aren't we playing brannstrom and willander on defense at this point. Juelsson and forbort are absolute trash, there is nothing to lose. Myers and Sucey need to be 3rd pairing, they are so lethargic, slow AF

Tocchet is not a smart coach , he's not a strategist, he won coach of the year because he was able to motivate this team and get them to play a decent team defense, but it's not working anymore and Rick has no answers, last year was an anomaly, the stats prove it, time for a change, new coach, new defense, new center , onward! There is a problem same stuff ain’t working something has to change trade someone it probably is JT miller or him and petterson. Maybe make a coaching change something has to happen at the deadline because I am tired of losing games and not scoring it seems they forgot to score or something pathetic performance last night hopefully tonight they can score and make better adjustments against the maple leafs of Toronto. Quinn can’t do it by himself everyone else has to contribute or get traded.
It's just an all around mess. Tocchet making questionable roster lineup changes, Punishing the people that do well and promoting those that aren't. He also keeps pushing dump and chase and that is tiring as hell. Management isn't helping with the current D-core we have. It's garbage minus hughes and hronek, Maybe Brannstrom.. Offensive players aren't shooting the puck and or hitting the net and have no urgency whatsoever, Although I heard from somewhere Tocchet doesn't prioritize shots. He values the quality of the shot (Which mind you are hard to get on good teams)
Season after season the Canucks management has not addressed the D. The D lack grit, don’t take the bodies out, always more times figure skate, stick check, and this pisses me off, no one came to Hughes after they took liberties on him with no pay back!! Remember what happened to D Sedin?

Trading Zadarov for Petie's huge contract IS THE PROBLEM. People need to stop sucking on Petie's nuts and accept that his one good season was an anamoly and he is overpaid. Worst contract in the last 5 years. There is no way he is worth more than Hughes and Miller.
By giving him such a huge contract, his expectations were too high and he folded to pressure. And it also creates jealousy in the locker room. He literally ruined the Canucks with GREED.
