“We understand where we are and how much better we need to get. It’s going to be tough, but I think we have a group in there that can do it.”
Conor Garland sits down for an exclusive interview with Rinkside Reporter Olivia McDonald to chat about becoming a dad, his friendship with Quinn Hughes, and stepping into a leadership role with the team.

what a beaut. love gars on the canucks
All love for Garlyyyy !! 💙 💚
Time to trade Elias. Get’s paid like a king and does nothing. No heart, a quitter.
So much respect for Garly!! Lucky to have him on the team and such a stand up guy too. 💚
Garland has made the oel trade palatable
Garland is a beast on the ice. Great guy off ice.
Anyone who wears a turtleneck is a loser.😅
Gars is hardest working and most underated guy in the nhl.
It sounds like Quinn and Petey's friendship has cooled off. Quinn seems to have moved on and is now close with Garland. Maybe Quinn got frustrated with Petey's unseriousness and his attempts to fit in with the cool crowds.
Gar reminds me of Cliff Ronning, but with a meaner, feistier edge. The way he moves in the corners is an art form and he is Michelangelo! I hope the Canucks keep him for many years to come.
So fun to watch him play. Also well-mannered and well-spoken off the ice. Class act.
