  1. Omg that was a dirty hit, cause it was in plain sight, he knew exactly his knee was going to hit that spot in that position and he knew he will get a way with it.

  2. Jacob Troubaโ€™s hits may not be โ€œillegalโ€ but they are 95% predatory.

  3. Hit was fine. Reffing in the NHL is such a clown show. It shouldn't have been a penalty. Zary tried to dodge contact & left his knee hanging.

  4. the lead is with the knee … but Zary has to protect himself by lifting the knee knowing the contact to avoid is the knee … 2 minutes

  5. It was not a malicious hit, he was not aiming for knee. But it still was blatant knee-on-knee contact. 100% worth the 5 and game, but not a second more.

  6. It does NOT matter if he ment to hit his knee or not. It is the player who decides to make the hit responsebility to make sure it is clean!!! Otherwise EVERYONE can just say oh I did not mean to hit like that. Then we can just remove penalties all toghether. It was illegal because he hit the other players knee. Period! Nothing else matters. And no I am not a Calgary fan I am a wild fan.

  7. I agree the he did not change his course. But also: I firmly believe that he saw what was coming and made a choice by not changing his course. He knew he was about to hit the other guy and decided to take it because it was "clean". He 100% meant to injure. And I think most of the time players know they will cause an injury and make a choice to do it as long as its "not their faul".

  8. Alrighty but don't cry when it is one of your players that gets put down indefinitely with a knee on knee in the future. You can't sudden pivot later and miraculously be angry about one.

  9. Was not a 5 min penalty. A Flames fan. It was a unfortunate collision in my opinion. He was planted and did not stick his leg out to get him. 2 min for tripping

  10. I think 5 and a game was the right call. Not a dangerous or predatory hit perhaps but certainly a reckless one. Hope Zary heals quick.

  11. It doesnโ€™t matter if itโ€™s intentional or not it happened so every hit like this should be a penalty at the bare minimum
