The Canucks just pulled off their most CRUCIAL win yet…

The Vancouver Canucks just beat the Toronto Maple Leafs convincingly. Quinn Hughes is a beast, Kiefer Sherwood and Kevin Lankinen also stepped up to blank Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner to get a crucial victory on a tough road trip. It doesn’t stop here, the Canucks continue a tough road trip against the Winnipeg Jets in a few days.

  1. We CANNOT trade petey or miller also soucy played great today I feel like him playing with juulsen held hil back

  2. I dont care if we need to prematurely bring in willander, Dpetty and lekaramaki next season to save on cap space, the NEED to resign lankienin

  3. I'd be tempted to say this is the win that galvanizes the team and gets them on the winning track – but we've had a few of those and they struggled again. Let's see a string of efforts like tonight.

  4. Okay with this reset, I’m excited to see us face the Jets in a few days. Let’s Go!~

  5. Noticed they brought in Brisbois on defense. The defense is out of shape and unable to keep up with the play, except for Hughes. I'm hoping they keep Peterson, and bring in the prospects in the minors on defense over the next two seasons.

  6. they just proved how they CAN play….this team has an attitude problem…a good Coach would fix that

  7. I am a leafs fan, and I gotta say, I don’t even think the Canucks played all that well tonight, which really goes to show how shit the leafs were. 20 shots on net, for either team isn’t all that great. Except the Canucks at least knew how to defend. And oh yeah GO TO THE NET FOR FUCK SAKE!

  8. knowing Tocchet he's gonna be shuffling the lines for the next game. They played way too good to keep the lines as is.

  9. a win by itself won't save the season if it's not followed up with some more cuz one win to 4 or 5 losses won't cut it

  10. You can just tell when sherwood is gonna score a goal. Sometimes he's just buzzing around and letting it rip; looking very dangerous. I had a feeling very early in this.

Not to mention his release is sneaky good

  11. Leafs are "my team," but I'm not upset. I also like the Canucks, and they needed this.

More importantly, the Leafs DESERVED this. Until they fix their defensive weakness, I don't care if they ever win again.

  12. I understand they’ve had injuries. Yada yada yada. Every team has gone through them. But this team will look completely different when Hronek comes back. Defence has struggled, we all know that but maybe it’s a blessing in disguise now with Myers and hughes. Hronek can now play with soucey to build more depth on the back end. Haven’t seen many negative Juulson comments so that’s nice to see

  13. Leaf fan here….. this was a disaster game for us lol. As soon as I saw that the Canucks had travel difficulties, I knew they'd leaf the game lmfao. Doesn't help that I was in Raleigh for that game on Thursday where they were also horrible lol

  14. Canucks are fucking CHEEKS. All this dude does is shit on goaltenders that beat “his” team. How ‘bout that cheeks goalie for Ottawa posting another shutout?

Man, I like Vancouver but their fans are so insufferable that I almost like watching the team struggle.

  15. Against any other team, this would feel like a relief, but against the Leafs, it feels like a weight has been lifted off the teams shoulders.

  16. I don’t like the Leafs at all but I’m just wondering why Bérubé didn’t pull his goaltender. Seems a bit odd. Was he punishing his team cause they played like trash?

  17. Unless I am mistaken, you have indirectly badmouthed EP40, and conversely brownnosed JT MILLER & Tocchet, but pay close attention to what happened in this game: This game was more important than any other game the last 4 months. Once JT Miller was moved down to a secondary role, things IMMEDIATELY looked better. EP40 deserves the first line role, Miller needs to understand he is an elite second liner (nothing else), and Tocchet needs to stop catering to Miller. Or stuck in 1-2 round in playoffs. Forever.

  18. It’s not just about points with Petey. People get too hung up over the bag. Name others that can do what Petey does defensively as a top centre forward. His high hockey IQ coupled with intuition is insurmountable. C’mon people…Name someone! Sasha Barkov is close, that’s a comparable….Nico Hischer?? Nah. In the end, both are not as good defensively. Bergeron was the epitome as a solid defensive player whilst performing offensively, but retired and there’s very few left in the league in that regard. It’s an interesting topic to behold….not many can match the IQ of EP40 + hold that C position, with a ceiling as high as his, in a Canadian market no less..it’s interesting for sure…
