I'm not a Benn fan, but c'mon; there was nothing wrong with this hit. The NHL is trying to turn the game into womens' field hockey.
Sorry but Carlo tried a reverse hit and missed. Benn has no time to react. If you want to see a bad hit look at Ryan Reaves hit on Darnell Nurse
I hate Benn and think he is a cheap player.
But in this instance, I have to agree with the refs.
Carlo was not taken by surprise by this. And quite frankly I think Carlo looked like he was going for a reverse hit.

All this crap analysis is just that. Benn drilled a guy into the boards from behind. Period. Add it to the list.
It does deserve a suspension because you will never get rid of this kind of nonsense if there is never punishment. It should have stayed a 5 min major minimum. The officials have no idea what they are doing in these circumstances.

Carlo shouldn't have stopped. I still would like to see Benn get a major so that we get less of these injuries in the future. Nice to see Boston getting some karmic payback for all of their gooning in recent years. At least Benn didn't lick him afterwards.
I think they called his face hitting the boards not the actual hit. Because that is not a boarding penalty. Too far from the boards
