QUESTION OF THE DAY — Give Me YOUR Thoughts On Jeremy Roenick's Shameful Call Out Of Connor Bedard.
This Roenick thing is so massively overblown. He said some petty stuff on a podcast no one listens to. Barely anyone would have heard it if it weren't for every content starved news outlet blowing it up because they want a story. Yes he was acting like a whiny child but the way some people are reacting you'd think he called Bedard an f-slur or something. JR has a history of making controversial statements, anyone thinking of giving him a broadcast role or any front facing position in the BH organization before this should have their head examined. The fact that people think he shouldn't have his jersey retired over this, as if being an idiot negates everything he did on the ice for the Hawks is just stupid. Just ignore him.
Roenick has always been the definition of having no filter, whick can be entertaining up to a poinr, the problem is not having that line that you shouldn't cross. Roenick doesn't seem to be aware that you should have that line, and he never did.
Apparently he never wondered why he was passed over for the HOF so many times.
The only question is how long will it take for Roenick to say something stupid when his number is retired. Will it be during the ceremony or soon afterwards.
your analysis of JR is spot on. He was a good hockey player (questionable HOF in my opinion) but a bonehead off the ice.
Roenick was wrong to do what he did publicly. With that said, it's being overblown, and i can see why Bedard rubbed the old timers the wrong way if that's how it actually went down.
Roenick is a narcissistic child how has never grown up and he’s in love with himself!
I wish the guy would just go away. His time is over, just shut up and go away already!
