When I first aw the headline I though it meant the Devils claimed that Geertsen & Vigneault were dinosaurs and said, Wait. Vigneault never coached the Devils. How would they know? And who is Geertsen?" Of course, Vigneault coached the Rangers, so maybe the Devils knew from close observation. And if the Devils were saying this too, it backs up what Lehner said. Glad it's been clarified. As for Pittsburgh, isn't there supposed to be some extra-special phenom available at the top of next year's draft? Crosby came just in time to replace Lemieux, so maybe the new guy is coming just in time to replace Crosby. The Penguins are good at that. So look for their ping pong balls to bounce right in next year's draft lottery.

Players are placed on waivers if a team wants to be able to send them down to the AHL? But players also have to clear waivers? And teams can claim other players off of waivers? I’m a little lost.
