Jeff Skinner won't be an Oiler come March
so no one blame Perry ? wow.
Part of the reason he missed that puck was because he had to race over there so fast to cover. He had a ton of speed built up. It's not a perfect excuse, but it's a little tough to blame the guy whose job it wasn't to be there after he blasts over there and misses.

To be fair to Ekholm, Anders Lee is a large human being and that shove by Ekholm to most other players would have cleared them out of there. That being said, he could have tied up Lee's stick like you guys pointed out.
Whatever…. Skinner can make an effin' save, too. Brutal that with 3 minutes left and a 2 goal lead, he can't hold a lead.
Not trying to be rude but , Skinner is not a stanley cup goalie and will never win the Oilers a cup, he had his lucky spell in 23 and i will guarantee he will not pull that off again, his coverage is not on point and always on his pads and getting beat high ,he is a back up at least and thats questionable, he probably should be sent to farm team for a bit, Oilers need to find a Goalie desperately
Oil gotta find a way to STOP blowing leads. It's becoming a part of their IDENTITY that they need to cut / remove. I'm sure it's well known around the league that the OIL BLOW LEADS.
They made the game unnecessarily close / difficult to win. If they were playing a better offensive team that could score, the Oil would have lost.
Jeff Skinner has been conditioned on how a player plays on bad teams .. im not sure if you can beat it out of him ar this point.. hes used to losing and hes playing like hes on a losing team.. end of story
To all the people who say skinner isn’t a “Stanley Cup goalie” what does that even mean? In his first season as the unquestioned starter he won his way to game 7. What’s a Stanley Cup goalie? Is it Hellebuyck? What happened to him last playoffs? Maybe you’re referring to Andre Vasilevsky who’s spent the last two post – seasons with an over 3.00 GAA.
If you grabbed prime Jonathan Quick and put him in with the oilers right now, he’d probably be playing a 3.50. For all the goals skinner has let in, I can think of several where he was hung out to dry by his defense.
Skinner should be gone, he'll never give the Oilers the timely saves they need. Lets in too many softies and probably wouldn't even make a good backup. Trade some guys like Nuge and other have-nots who've done nothing to help the team win games. 😡

Not sure if you guys talk about this stuff for clickbait or whatever but your takes are getting really brutal. This channel has really transitioned away from what made it great. For the records even Knobby called out Stu Skinner for those saves. Stated the defense played it well.
