  1. Not sure what’s so surprising? The wings were carrying too many defensemen, maatta was on an expiring deal playing 3rd line minutes. He should understood that a trade was, at least, possible at some point.

  2. There's a lot of things I've been through that just happened way too fast. Some of these things I still have yet to fully process. I understand how he feels.

  3. this west coast road trip against teams they SHOULD be beating will be a nice temperature check for the winged wheel and Yzerplan

  4. He should be happy, Wings will be moving on from more than Maatta. Not gonna make the playoffs and probably fire Lalonde who I thought was a poor choice. I wonder what they work on in practice because were 15 -16 games into the season and they play like amateurs, basic fundamentals are missing.

  5. Oli was the only veteran D man that was marketable, they are making room for some young players, I can see them retaining some of Chiarot’s salary in the next trade. The remaining vets are unmarketable.

  6. Honestly it's getting old that every time Detroit makes a trade that it has to be a sob story like some grown a** man got traded an now everyone has to cry because we're all best friends and we'll never be able to hold hands again a read comics together under the blankies at night. It's a professional business and when you don't perform you possibly might get traded. It happens.

  7. I am stoked. Sucks how it happened but I’m an Utah fan and I love having the confidence when he is in there. For me the defense doesn’t need to have points, stop them and get the pucks up to Keller, Cooley, and schmaltz. Lock it down on the back side is key for me
