  1. wow a balanced attack when the slugs chip in some offense. Offense seems to pick it up when 13 is out of line-up. 18 scores g, 10, 26 assist. 2 goals from d men 8, 24. 25 2 assists. Thats what in isle terms is a balanced attack. pk perfect 2 for 2 even tho pp 1-6. Outshot casucks too. And held the lead-for once. Just don't know what to say about this day and night shit. 5 g's in one game probably means shut out no. 5 is coming so get ready for it. Too bad isles wont fall out of it to secure that first isn't dealt away-again. 27 is playing well- 7 g 7 a. Any chance 27 will/could be moved by tdl for assets or will stubborn louzer refuse to dump that deal if isles can get some assets that work from a tdl desperate gm? I'd do it right now. Louzer? probably not. I'd throw 44 6 g into a deal as well-right now. And gm's are sniffing around for a 2 c (29) right now. Isles could get a nice package for re-tool and keep first by dealing all three by tdl instead of reaching for first round flame out-again.

  2. BIG WIN!!! Woo Hoo! The Islanders are in the playoffs, WC2 in the eastern conference! Hahaha, I know, we’re not even at the quarter season mark. But I am encouraged to see them play so well with all the injuries. Nice to see Engvall up his game along with JGP and Lee, keep it up PE. Hopefully if this play continues they will be able to allow George and Wahlstrom to make their mistakes and grow and learn from them. LGI!!

  3. I gotta be honest guys I really wonder if we played good or was Vancouver really really bad. They were awful 5 shots in 2 periods and the defense was non exsistant.

  4. I am so proud of these guys with the amazing heart they have with the 5 players that are out this is outstanding play by this team unbelievable well done gentlemen you deserve it big time

  5. Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? The Islanders looked very good against Vancouver with a 5-2 win. Scott Mayfield, Pierre Engvall, and Noah Dobson all scored their first goals of the year. Bo Horvat went coast to coast before passing to Anders Lee, who scored the goal. They were 1-5 on the PP, and they stayed out of the joint. Matt Martin reluctantly dropped
and won. I'll say this about Isiah George. He was quiet last 🌙, but since he's been with the Islanders, he's been the 3C's CALM, COOL, AND COLLECTED. Maxim Tsyplakov threw one monster of a check. Hero, community effort. 🐐, except for giving that first goal, nobody. Mike Reilly on IR. Welcome to the Islanders, Travis Mitchell. Patrick Roy's telling them to bear down and stick to the basics. They're in Seattle tomorrow. Let's hope the Islanders can act like Medusa and turn them to stone this ⏲️. They still have to be careful. HAPPY 🎂, SHANE PRINCE. Hear from you on Monday, Gil, and LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

  6. Good morning team! Gil, it certainly was a nice team win. So proud of these guys. It's amazing how a win changes the dynamic. Not one person so far called for Lou's termination. Let's hope this high doesn't follow a low tomorrow against Seattle. So many times, that is what seems to happen. I was kind of expecting this type of game last night. I thought they played really well against the Oilers. McDavid's non call of a hook certainly helped the Oilers, but I hate looking back on what could have been. Always look forward. Everyone, have a great day and wonderful weekend! See you all again Monday. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

  7. This game makes you wonder what's going to happen when the injured 5 come back. Who's going to stay, who's going to go, line combinations, etc.

  8. Gm Gil. I thought a very solid effort from the team. I was surprised by how flat and unresponsive the Canucks were. But, the Isles maintained and delivered 60 min of effort. Its not often we say that… consistent effort start to finish….As you might remember, I have been on Lee's case for a while and he has been the team's best offensive player. Nelson, has vanished. The Isles played tough, played quickly, decisively, and it warmed my heart. Seeing Matt drop the gloves, always a plus. We are three more points on this road trip from declaring the trip a success. On to Seattle!!!!!

  9. Everything went right for the Islanders tonight in Bo Horvat's second visit since his trade. Too bad injured Barzal didn't get to play in front of his hometown as he has many fans here in Vancouver.

  10. Engvall scored, it has to be some kind of hockey miracle. Yep they had a good game for sure.

  11. When the stars go down, someone has to step up. We need to remember, these guys are in the NHL…. Individually these guys were the best on their junior/college teams. Sometimes people defer to the stars and stop seeing themselves as the studs they were.

  12. I will say, that rick tocchet's comments were correct. In this game he got out coached by patrick roy. I have to apologize to coach roy when i said he wasnt the right coach for this team. I said that because of all the blown third period leads. However this game was a MASTER CLASS IN COACHING by roy. Heres three more reasons why Roy is one heck of a coach. Reason #1 , with all the injuries we have had this season to key players even our best player in Barzal …..Roy is keeping us in really good shape we have earned points in like 5 or 6 straight games. Reason #2 , last season we went on a incredible run just to get into the playoffs we went like 9-1 the last 10 games…thats not a coincidence. Reason #3 ….pageau was stagnant so was lee….since lee pageau and horvat are the new #1 line all three players are on fire especially lee and pageau who really were having trouble scoring goals . Now recently since they are the new #1 line, they are scoring a lot of goals.THIS MEANS THAT COACH ROY IS PUTTING HIS PLAYERS IN A POSITION TO SUCCEED. Phenomenal coaching by Patrick.

  13. Living here in Vancouver and having to deal with (IMO) the very worst fan base in the league, it was soooo sweet to see my Isles put out oneof their best 60m efforts

  14. Greetings Gil, when Pelech, Romanov, and Reilly return, do you think there's a chance they keep George in the lineup and make Reilly the 7th defenseman? George is one of those rare players who can step into the NHL just a couple of years after being drafted. Considering Pelech was a 3rd round pick at 65 and George a 4th round pick at 98, I hope they give George a chance, especially given Pelly's injury history.
