OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Washington Capitals. The Habs won this game in overtime by a score of 3-2.. And it was a very convincing win which is reassuring for Habs fans.. as the Caps have been one of the hottest teams in the league this season . MONTREAL IS A WAGON RIGHT NOW! Lets break this one down!

I get that some guys will get benched for taking dumb penalties, but why are they even dressing Pezzetta to play him 3 minutes a night, which means we're basically playing with only 11 forwards every game? If he's that unworthy of ice time, maybe give Roy another chance. Now that the rest of the team is playing well, he might see his game improve as well, and the boys won't have to play down a man in the lineup every night.
Also, shouldn't that have been icing on the second Caps goal? The puck crossed the Habs goal line well before any players were close to it, and Xhekaj was even a stride ahead of Frank when it did. I thought the whole point to hybrid icing was to blow the play dead before two players race for it and crash into each other behind the net.

My boys look like they believe that they CAN win, and more importantly, look like they WANT to win.
Listen talk raw numbers all you want, but when Nate in Colorado gets angry, he takes games home.
When Leon gets angry, he takes games home.
That attitude is creeping into the team and Laine has done nothing but look like he wants to be there and win.
Since Liane came back (and yes Carrier has been an amazing upgrade), the Habs look like players that care a little bit more about the team.
I'm so happy. I think I'll have a couple of baloney and ketchup sandwiches. ( on white bread , of course )

Ive been a fan of the sport for over 20 years and Ive been disappointed by the Habs more often than not but Im quite impressed by their recent willing to win.Hope they continue to be succesfull.

I'm a caps fan and want to say I really appreciate you saying that Lindgren was not embellishing anything.
So many hockey fans immediately go to the "soft" "dive" "flop" accusations and its really dumb, I hope that's a trend that dies out soon. If anything they are getting way way more concussions than are ever documented.
