Frustrating start. Maybe should have pulled Stu or used a time out when it was obvious well before the end of the 1st that it was brutal. Build on it I guess.
We didn't play well,…… but that being said Skinner was average tonight probably should have been pulled.
Shitty first period. The team looked completely flat with no defense or urgency. Can’t expect Stu to bail them out when they play like that.
Terrible 1st period. Then they pulled their heads out of their butts and they woke up. Too little too late.

Wow what a piss poor effort that was . What I think the problem was , they took the ducks and penguins too lightly and it cost them in the standings . Tonight I was watching Vegas vs New York Islanders and Vegas was losing was losing 3 -0 , just think if the Oilers had won tonight they could have gain 2 points closer to Vegas . For what these hockey players gets paid is unreal , they make more money in 1 year and it will take most of us a whole life time of hard work and we get close for what these players get paid for 1 year . I refuse to buy Oilers tickets .

A very angry morning from Germany! 1am to 4am in front of the TV on a Friday morning, and it was the same procedure as ever when we play after winning against a team on a lower level. First period looked like a beer team played against a professional one. Wild and crazy positioning, no one defending the slot, seems to be a great secret for all defenders, and a goalie who was always too late with the legs and his hands also his instincts!!!
The rest is silence, because I wasn't able to understand the difference between the first and the last second periods. But 5:1 was a terrible sight. Drai made 2 goals, Powerplay works, not enough. I say it again, it is a staff problem!!! Now after my breakfast it is AA bit easier to talk about this game but I can't accept such a horror start week for week. Shots on goal are meaningless unless you can execute and that was the story of this game.

Still feeling awful and still waiting on eye surgery so personal comments will be limited.
PITIFUL. The first 25 minutes really were PITIFUL. I'm amazed they didn't mercy pull Skinner (though most of the first 3 goals weren't necessarily his fault as the Oilers decided to NOT play defense (for no reason I can think of)). They were outplayed, simple as that and they deserved to loose.
Positives: Leon got 2 more goals, Connor got 3 assists, Vegas lost to the New York Islanders (4-0 shutout), we're still in 2nd place in the Pacific (though LA is 2 points back with 3 games in hand due to the wildfires).
Next Up, Chicago. If they don't learn the lesson and not do this stuff again (start slow and pitifully with zero defense) they deserve to loose, remember that. Every team can win on any night.

Welcome to the skinner beer league, "how did this guy get in the nhl?" goalie show. Skinner loses another one for the oilers. How much longer can this go on? Fire bowman and jackson and get a new goalie before its too late. Play pickard and send skinner down, bring up somebody else or get the scouts to find a new goalie like Montreal Jacob Dobes. The players deserve better. Stop letting the defense be the goalie when skinner is in net.
They can’t take lower teams in the standings for granted. They have to learn to play three good periods , not two.
Stuart skinner is a fraud
First 10 minutes were bad; usually they can weather that. Unfortunately not during this game. Let's not discount that some of these other teams really want to beat the Oilers.
