Santanders on my wish list
Thank you for keeping up the great work, jack.
My wish is to fill out the rotation with a solid lefty like Quintana or Heaney on a one year contract. The bullpen becomes Erceg, Bubic, Harvey, Marsh, Long, Scheiber, Wright/Lynch
Use a combination of Zerpa, Loftin, Melendez and/ or Hernedez to trade for a young lefty bat who can platoon with Garcia at third. Like Baty from NYM or Aranda from TB or sign FA Urias if that can’t be done, not a lefty, but at least he has some power and not too slow.
Sign a cheap bat like Winker to DH and play a little corner OF on a one year contract.
I think these are rather humble suggestions the Royals could afford and then if the team does well the next step would be to acquire a real star for OF or third base like Oneil Cruz by the deadline going into the playoffs.

Do you think Ryan Helsley would be a good fit for the Royals to trade for?
Although we have guys like Erceg, Harvey, etc, I think we really lacked a big time closer last year. The Guardians have Clase, the Twins have Duran, and Helsley has been linked to trade rumors although I think the odds are getting slimmer.
