The New York Rangers have decided to give defensemen Zac Jones permission to seek out a team in the NHL that would be willing to trade for him. The Rangers have used Zac as the 6th/7th defensemen and making him a healthy scratch a decent amount so it’s come to the point where it seems both sides may be ready to move on.

Doesn't surprise me. This outcome was bound to happen. I wish Jones nothing but luck with whatever team he lands on.
Miller and lindgren have single handedly cost us games, idk why they get minutes and jones doesnt. I hope he finds a good deal and get some consistent minutes, i wish him the best .
Rangers staff are dumb to trade him instead of miller.
Lindgren acts tough but is made of glass and has no place on a contending team. Drop him and Miller and move on.

I don’t get the jones love affair too much stick checking a poor man’s Adam fox can’t win with small defense rather bring back Connor Mackey need way more toughness and grit on this team
That's the biggest problem with this team. We only have one top defenseman: Adam Fox. All the others are bottom line talent.
Unacceptable
Jones is one of those "puck moving" defensemen who should have been a forward. Reminds one of a guy like Ryan Merkely who in Jr. could do astounding things with the puck but was a total liability in the D-zone. Bombed with the Sharks & now plays overseas. Moving the puck out of the D-zone is largely dependent on winning board battles & Jones is deficient there, Even Adam Fox is weaker along the boards but his elite offensive skills contribute in other ways like the PP. Jones is not horrible, but I'd rather have less offensively skilled but more physical players like Borgen & Vakk out there. I'd like to say that there is little love in Rangerland for Reilly Smith, but I really like the way he plays the game. Really smart & selfless & plays very well defensively. I'd keep him around.
Everyday there's a trade coming lol. Can we please make one and help this team now and in the future. Our draft picks are off limits though
