Rangers Defeat Devils In Overtime Thriller | New York Rangers



The third installment of the Battle Of The Hudson was a much tighter defensive game for both teams. Adam Fox opened the scoring for the Rangers then Jack Hughes would tie it and Jesper Bratt would get the Devils the lead. Artemi Panarin scored his 17th goal of the sesaon to tie it for the Rangers and would get the game to OT where Sam Carrick would score his first ever overtime goal to lift New York over the Devils 3-2.

  1. When did the NYR give up body checks for (weak) stick checks? Anyone count how many times a game the opponent just stick handles past a Ranger without even a hint of being hit? Bring back the stand-them-up hits. Bring back the hip checks. The Rangers need to make their opponents hesitate a split second for fear of being hit. Stop playing so small. Oh, and forwards, how about picking up your man in front of your net too.
