Cowan looks like one of the steals of the draft today as he was picked 28th by the Leafs last year. At that time, it looked like an extreme reach but everybody was wrong including me.
He had a stat line of 34-62 = 96 in 54 games with the Knights and had a points streak of 40 games if we include the playoffs.

we can now shop Matthews and Marner for a goalie and a number 1 d. he will be better than Marner and Matthews 5 years from now he is the real deal. Cowen Nylander with knies trade Riley Matthews and Marner for backend help not like either will ever score playoff goals. if we have the goalie and d Nylander Cowen and knies will provide offence id even dump Riley for a first round. if we can dump those three we save 40 mil and I guarantee BETTER RESULTS. Cowan -Minten-Knies would have been the best third line in the game and would have taken us deep. But Keefe the one trick pony , dump and chase guy, wouldn't have it. Berube will make Tavares skate faster and Reilly will start to play D and try to win the battles iin the corner and become a great passer and playmaker. This town can only talk about Marner leaving town smfh.
