Rough night for Woll, but hey can’t win them all. The Leafs need to rest up and reset so they can bounce back the next game.
People like to talk about Boston owning the Leafs, how about Carolina? Feels every time we play them we get humiliated or come out flat.
I would say we were due for a loss, but like our last 3 losses have been to Winnipeg, Washington and now Carolina. Woll was not at his best and it might be cause of how often he’s been playing. Listen, the Leafs losing to the Hurricanes tonight pretty much sums it up: they aren’t Canada’s team, plain and simple. If you’re losing to a team that’s not even good at all, what does that say? They’ve got all the talent in the world, but when it counts, they just fold like a cheap suit. The Leafs are all hype, no heart.
Now, the Oilers? We’re the real Canada’s team. We’ve got the best of the best…McDavid, Draisaitl, and Skinner’s been absolutely lights out in net. We’ve got grit, skill, and a winning mentality.
