The Oilers are still soft

Edmonton Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner took a shot to the head in last nights game against Boston and the Oilers once again didn’t respond. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. Were not soft our machine has been injured since last playoffs kaner. Get well man and be 100 percent ready u animal we love u here.

  2. I heard the team dosnt want guys sticking up for them but instead go out and make them pay by scoring goals. And that’s what they did.

  3. Weird video to make, sure they could have got aggressive with the careless hit on their goalie but they completely shut out Boston. And I personally think not letting Boston fire up or get a puck in the net is better than losing some teeth.

  4. everyone disagreeing with this take but as a goalie whos been on the receiving end of that play too many times id take a 10-0 loss if it meant that dude got his face punched in.

  5. Stay out of the box, score more goals than the other team, bring the Cup home.
That is what people should care about, not getting garbage penatlies and throwing a game away.
I love it when teammates stick up for their goalie but maybe Skinner (or coach) told the boys to run up the score and keep a clean sheet.

  6. Yeah no im gonna disagree on this. Kulack and everyone was just shocked. 4-0 isn’t soft. Stand up for Skinner? He did that himself.

  7. Gotta disagree with you on this one. Knoblauch has the oilers playing a mature, disciplined game. I do kinda wish one of them made Zadorov swallow his teeth after that play. But keeping a level head and letting the score speak for itself was the right thing to do imo. Especially since at that point it was only a 1-0 game and edm was about to go on the powerplay. Boston went out of their way to hit and try to get under Edmonton’s skin and look where it got them? I think you’re confusing softness with maturity.

Also Edmonton’s been one of, if not the best teams in the NHL since November. Goaltending’s been solid, defence has been quietly really good, the super stars are producing how they should, and they have 4 balanced lines that can all score. Don’t really see how they’re just “going through the motions” and waiting for the playoffs.

Just wanna clarify that I love your videos and agree with most of your takes, just wanted to share my thoughts as well

  8. As someone who has the Oilers Plus subscription and watches the Drop episodes which are behind the scenes of the Oilers, the Oilers are definitely not too serious and they do have fun. Even their Tiktok videos the players are joking and having fun. Stu seems to have fun playing Mario Kart with the boys.

  9. Okay eck.. go up against zadorov if you want.. he couldn’t really go around the net. People understand some things aren’t avoidable when you’re crashing to the net but I understand the dude is 6’4
 someone should of did something

  10. I swear McDavid is usually the only one who steps up. Not fighting but he will get in faces and grab jerseys and tug 'em around. That hurt to see.

  11. As an Oilers fan, I’m 50/50 on the response. I’d love to see someone jump on Zadorov and start swinging. It’s happened a bit too many times for me where we just do nothing. BUT, that’s exactly what’s killed us in years past. An exception on this play too since no one on the Oilers can match Zadorov in a fight😂 We got the powerplay, but didn’t convert. Whatever, we didn’t allow a shot for the 5 minutes are backup faced, went on to dominate the game, and shutout the Bruins. That’s the best “revenge” we could have got. I’ll be the first to admit the Oilers need to be tougher as the year goes on, but playing smart like this is just as important.
