We need to talk about Montreal

The Montreal Canadiens are on tear and after they went down 3-1 they came back and harpooned the whale in OT and moved themselves into a playoff for the first time in a hot minute. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. What’s there to talk about? They had a good run js like Ottawa. Didn’t talk about them and look whose back to what they r normally

  2. I’m a Winnipeg jets and Edmonton oilers fan primarily but I’ll cheer for any Canadian team to win the cup! It feels like this may be the year

  3. Forget it…
All teams go through this inexplicably good or bad.
Playing Slavkosky on the top line and 1st PP is pure lunacy.
    He's a career minus 43
He helps the other team score more than the Habs but yet he's called upon like he's Crosby.
You can't win consistently playing the wrong players in the wrong positions.
    Hutson should be forward.
Hynamen should be on the first line his Slavkoskys place.
I've never heard of a 105mph slapshot not being used on the point during a PP.
St Louis doesn't like the Sherrifs commercial.. He said we need stars on the ice not only off the ice in regard to Arber.
The team will suffer 10 losses 📉 and the playoffs 😢gone…
All due to a coach with no experience..
    Excuse moi… pas de experience.

  4. First team in 30 years that isn't strictly a dump and chase team. They're finally playing a style that's actually fun to watch… And winning as a bonus!
    Go Habs.

  5. Montreal is well on the way with the rebuild, they have a solid core, next year Ivan Demidov will join the team. They are for real. One or two more veterans and they could be a very serious contender, not to mention they have great young goal tending.

  6. As much as I love to see us finally scoring goals lately, I know we can't keep getting 4-5 goals every night. The only way we've got a real shot at beating the 9 of the other teams who are still technically in the wild card race in the East is if Dobes is the real deal and we start playing him WAY more. Monty just isn't good enough to start 60 games a year.

  7. Is this the Habs, Sens, and Wings finally getting good, or is it just the top teams getting bad?

  8. SO amazing seeing what the boys are doing now. It's like that thumping against the Penguins woke something up in them. All the pieces are clicking, all four lines are rolling and every man is contributing. So great to see. GO HABS GO!

  9. flash in a pan. roster isn't good enough to keep winning like this. might be biased as a Montrealer and Subban fan tho haha

  10. Unpopular opinion but Amazon Prime has been doing a great job for NHL like sound quality and shi

  11. Quite a few teams are warming to the task while others are collapsing. The mid-season is chaos right now.

  12. I wanna hate on the Habs because they beat Vegas last week and I was at that game, but they showed some grit and looked like a team that was trying hard to fight their way up in the standings. Sad to see the home team lose that one, it was sort of cool to see the underdog put up a good fight and get rewarded. I can respect the work.

  13. This game was ABSOLUTELY wild. Everything from Montreal scoring within the first minute of the game, to Vancouver scoring two goals in less than 20 seconds, to the Habs pulling off an amazing comeback and eventually winning it in overtime. This game had it all. What a great Hockey Night in Canada

  14. went to their games near the end of nov and including that game, every game ive seen of them since then theyve won

  15. Glad they are succeeding hope they can make the play offs show the people they earned it with all the hard work

  16. "this isn't last season's…"

..canucks, who almost never blew a lead, and now blow one every single game

  17. Oh it can be so hard to be a Habs fan – constantly love hate up down.
My hopes were raised after watching the season opener – it seemed like a totally different team to one from last season.
Then we fell back into the bad habits i.e. not defending (and capitalising on) the rebounds, giving away dumb penalties, not playing to the ref's whistle.
And then all of a sudden we are holding our own against and even beating some of the toughest teams in the league.
I too hope for a Canadian heavy finals series – Canadian home crowds are insanely loud and rowdy (doubly so if it's Canada v Canada or even better east v west)

  18. YES WE ARE! Plus, We have been beaten the last 5 seasons teams champions in 5 different hours, baby. Time to claim back what we haven’t touch in over 30+ years

  19. Lane and Cole Hutson will get to play together many times in their careers whether that’s at the all star game or on team USA
