Coming off of three straight 20-plus goal seasons, Utah Hockey Club forward Lawson Crouse had been off to a cold start in 2024-25. Coming into the Club’s recent two-game road trip, Crouse had just four goals on the season. Perhaps responding to the scrutiny, Crouse found his stride in Utah’s matchup against Calgary, finding the back of the net twice in a 5-3 comeback victory over the Flames.
Not to be outdone, his linemate Matias Maccelli scored twice against Dallas on Saturday in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars. Now nearing the halfway point of the Utah Hockey Club’s inaugural season, the playoff race will be heating up. The upcoming seven-game homestand could make or break the Club’s postseason hopes.

Haven't seen Austin and Disco Cowboy in the same room. Makes you think… 🤔
Also if the UHC media team has any sense. Get Disco Cowboy to a game.
This is the best dude, lol I saw that on twitter and I was like wtf is Austin up to now? Then I laughed my ass off watching it, you need to get Disco on the show for sure. I've been saying the same thing too about shooting the puck more, that's one thing that is drilled into those of us who have played hockey from an early age. Also, dump and chase, dump and chase!!!! Get the puck down low and cycle cycle cycle and shoot more. What I see is even on the power play they will carry the puck in half the time get clogged in the neutral zone by the other team instead of getting the puck deep and setting up from there and for the love of God what is it with one or two players leaving a pass behind them for the other player to pick up as we're coming out of our zone? My coaches would've been pulling their hair out if we did that in games. Just stick to simple hockey, break out of our zone with a couple of quick passes, dump the puck and cycle down low and get someone in front to crash the crease!! Instead I am seeing guys making too many passes on the powerplay and looking for the perfect shot that doesn't exist
