He’s alright kinda crazy and dirty but so many greats are like that
Skinners habit of letting in that first shot last year was brutal I hope it’s not gonna be the same as last year
As a Flames fan I wish it was us that were the best Alberta team but I can still live with Alberta being awesome in the NHL
Sigh
Find a solid Stecher replacement at the deadline by flipping the skinner contract if necessary and they’ll be fine, deepest forward group in the league and one of their top contributors isn’t even in, Stu has looked solid as of late but we’ll see come April
I would love it if Draisaitl pulled out his executive card and have the Predators to lend us Saros for the playoffs lol… I love Skinner and Piccard, but reliability as this video mentioned makes it stressful come the playoffs. Skinner luckily was fantastic when it really mattered, but it would be nice if that was a constant
Skinner is the goat. If he had +0.900% he would be too op. So he is below average but he still wins almost everytime.
They must of seen your video before basting Boston 4-0 Henrique with a pair lol
Connor McDustpan
Honestly last season I dont think goaltending was the issue last year, as we were shown by the panthers, winning 4 straight in the playoffs is hard. The reinhart cup winner was a it soft but after the second round skinner was rock solid.
I had to stop watching after you said the Oilers aren’t one of the serious cup containing teams this year. It’s the same old crap I hear from everyone that simply not true. Since their cup run hangover and a dismal start, the Oilers have the best win record in the NHLsince November 9. They’ve been top 10 in limiting high danger scoring chances in that period of time. Yes, they need an upgrade at the blue line, but to say that this team isn’t a cup contending team? Give your head a shake.
and they just rolled over Boston… sadly Draisaitl had his streak broken
Bouchard giving up a couple breakaways per game doesn't help.
Skinner said hold my beer
it’s our year man we need to win it this year
Hyman has 3 less goals than McDavid. He had a brutal injury… They started slow, but they are 15-4-1 in the last 20 games. This is clueless commentary…
Nice take, thanks for doing a video on my oilers. Yeah we need another defencemen and maybe a top 6 but kanes on the way back.
The oilers lost to the panthers by a 1 goal difference, however, they scored more goals. Skinner literally stole game 6 with dallas. I think this team can do it.
Claiming they’re not a serious cup contender is also probably the most brainless take I’ve ever heard, top 5 in every offensive metric while a respectable top 10 in every defensive? Yeah definitely not a contender. Just lost massive credibility from any Oilers fan who considers this channel insightful
the oilers haven't been the favourites to win the cup since 1989, they will never win another cup
Leon has 9 GWG's 4 of them OTGWGs.. Oh BTW beat Boston 4-0 tonight.. One other thing that you didn't hit on was how poor the PK was at the start of the season with the PP not clicking either. That will shoot a tenders avg up in a hurry. Back door tap in's hurt. Could the team use a bit more secondary scoring? For sure and it's coming around now. Also the Oilers D have scored I believe the most goals as well. Almost mid season and 6 points out of 1st in the league. They are doing just fine but always room to improve. 15-3-1 in the last 19 If you follow the Oilers, you know the 2nd half of the season is when they ramp it up… I like our chances again this year.
Had to stop watching this would have been better a month ago. It's the same thing everyone says
How dare he trash stu like that did you see him against Boston he was phenomenal. Skinner when on his game is one of the best goaltenders in the NHL and he is on a heater right now. The biggest concern for this team is their second line defence pairing because Stetcher God bless him. He’s been playing phenomenal lately, but he’s not a guy you want on your second pair in the playoffs that’s what they need to spend their very limited assets on a second pair right shot D man who can also play on the third pair so you can still put kulak and nurse together on occasions
The Oilers are also one of the deepest teams in the NHL right now there just a little snake bitten right now
I find it amusing how you want to interpret one of Draisaitl's strengths as a weakness: Yes, he scores a lot of goals on the power play. But if it were that simple, why is he so outstanding at it?
