The Vancouver Canucks lose to the Montreal Canadiens in overtime. JT Miller, Lane Hutson, Quinn Hughes and Jonathan Lekkerimaki played good. Nick Suzuki won the game in overtime. Nils Hoglander was great all up until he took a penalty late in the game that changed the course of this game.

The Amazon DEI commentators were garbage
So brutal… at least montreal had a great show
Watched this one live in Montreal. Honestly scary to see how out of place we look sometimes. Myers played well in the second half, but shouldn’t be anywhere above 3rd line. Juulsen and Hogs can go. Don’t think there’s any place on this team for what they deliver (which is next to nothing)
Canucks are playing with no purpose. They gave decent effort but somehow they lost track of what should their ultimate goal for that game is to win.
Juulsen serves up more pizzas than Dominos. Brutal.
94 games with Vancouver, 1 goal, 6 assists.
YAHOO!!!!!GO HABS GO!!!!
As a Habs fan I hope a stanley cup final between the Nucks and Habs happens in the next 5 years… it'll do 2 things… shut Leaf fans up and piss off Gary Buttman
Hronek needs to drive his own line when he returns. I know I know the Hughes and Hronek pair is dominant. But it doesn’t seem like we’re getting another top 4 dman anytime soon.
I'm sorry but in a game like this, that was a cheap ass Call !!!!! There's no possibility that that player could've got to the park in any way shape or form so they call it that late in the game in a game that was that tight. The ref should be embarrassed.
That was a great game to watch, but man, taking that penalty 30 secs from going into OT and in that fashion was just really upsetting. However, my opinion of Myers has slightly shifted, I hope he plays like this more consistently.
I'm a Habs fan, but I'm rooting for Vancouver to beat Washington this Wednesday. I hate Washington based solely on Ovechkin being pro-Putin. How sick is that?
They seem to lack some sort of comradery. When someone scores, most teams are happy and hug each other. When Canucks scores, they just fist bumps. Makes me a little sad. Last year's attempt was filled with joy and celebrations.
I hope they can find their way back to it. Go Canucks go!
Edit: Comradery mightve been wrong word. Passion might be more accurate.
How are you making a big deal about Hoglander's penalty? What exactly was the call? It wasn't a late hit. The guy just let the puck go. He basically pushed/ two hand punched the guy in the chest. Stupid, weak call. Ref handed the game to the home team.
There's a reason the Habs moved on from Juulsen (placing him on waivers, and losing him to the Panthers). He was a FIRST ROUND PICK who a lot of fans were very excited about, but after a few years of development, it was quite clear that he would not be better than an average 3rd-pairing player. I'm happy he's found a way to stick in the NHL…there was a time when it looked like he'd be a career AHLer, but he has shown he belongs in the NHL. But only barely (which is more than most people manage, so I guess it's still good for him…but it's not good for the Canucks).
We are lucky that the Habs Laine and Savard were out, score would have 10-0 for the Habs.
Im honestly still optimistic about this team going forward. It's definitely possible for us to get hot at the right time and be in a good spot heading into the playoffs because, despite the disappointing start to the season, we're still in the playoffs.
One thing I noticed on the goals by Guhle and Suzuki is that Lankinen was in bad position. Yes he was being screened, but he seemed to give a lot of space to the inside in which he was scored on for both.
some of the worst commentating of all time in this game.
After watching hockey for 70 years and playing for 30, I still do not think it is best to run around like a pylon rather than going out of play for new stick and return to action???
Love watching Vancouver take the L.
I get that hog. Lander messed up, but if the coach scratches him for a couple games that’s gonna be super frustrating because of his recent form. He’s one of the most hard-working guys on the team.
toc's days are numbered!
Half way through and just hanging onto a wild card spot and slipping back, it’s obvious the team even if makes the playoffs ain’t going past first round, not gritty no depth, can’t hang onto a lead.
