Aha I knew you would bring up the Senators' diamond formation. The Wings also used it and it worked (a bit!).
The key difference is that the Wings players had active sticks and player movement to challenge shooters and force passes.
Diamond is fine Sens need to challenge and push more, it's not going to work from a static point of view.
Anyway, Sens still in the mix and facing…the Sabres? The Penguins? Gotta get those points.

The wings didn't get 3 power plays that they definitely should've gotten. This game had very one-sided officiating.
