If we’re offering a first then it should be top 10 protected so if the islanders do end up getting a top 10 pick then Vancouver would get the 2026 first round pick instead or just offer a 26 first rounder because we know we’re in the bottom this year

I mean if that trade Rosner proposed was on the table I would do it in a second if the pick was top 5 protected this year. Pettersson is a better player than Dobson, and being able to shed $5.5mil of Cizikas/Engvall who are looking like dead weight is just a cherry on top.

Noah Dobson is nothing more than an orange cone in the defensive zone. And the only reason he puts up some points is because he has been given the green light in the offensive zone.

as a vancouverite it never crossed my mind that EP40 would be the subject of a trade but he and miller cannot co-exist and miller will only waive his no trade to the NYR and they aren't offering anything up that will help the canucks. they want to trade a hyundai for a vette. the package suggested with the NYI would address the needs of the team and if iwutm, i'd go for it.

This trade doesn't make sense for both sides and I'm a Canucks fan. Just because the Canucks and the Islanders are underperforming doesn't mean they need to make a trade for their Elite talent

Petey & Desharnais for Simon Holmstrom & Noah Dobson. Sounds like a good deal. Vancouver can try again with Simon's contract next year unlike they did with Petey's horrible contract. 11.6 is way too much.

The Canucks require a center in return. Barzal is from Vancouver so start right there. Dobson will not get PP1 time or supplant Norris winner Quinn Hughes. Is Dobson a second pair dman and not a true #1? Dunno, I'm a Nucks fan and don't watch the Isles play. Pettersson and something for Barzal and Dobson might make sense though.
What would you isles fans be willing to give up if its jt miller on the market? I cant speak for my club but if it was up to me petey would not even be considered as a trade token.
Isles need to do whatever it takes to add to Noah Dobson in order to get Petterson
Let's remember Isles can not attract and sign a Tier 1 Free Agent which any team needs to do in order to do rebuild otherwise your looking at waiting 5-6 years
