There wasn’t all this floor spacing when he played. Teams would congest the hell out of the paint against the Bulls and he would get in there anyway damn near every time. The way he would contort his body and use literally whatever improvised layup he needed to in a maze of defenders was like nothing I’ve ever seen. They’d all be swiping at the ball, trying to block it, take a charge and he would find a way around all of it whenever he wanted to. Truly incredible.
