  1. I WAS SO EXCITED before uploading the video I forgot to edit in a 30 second segment I recorded about how CLUTCH Dobes was in the shootout, too. WOW. He’s fun to watch! Cheers guys, love ya and GHG!

  2. Just like Ken Dryden’s rookie year…..outa nowhere he carried the team to Stanley 1971….!!
Doobies gonna do some damage on what’s left this season..!

  3. Dobes looked ok but I feel it was more a case colo like all players now a days can't shoot worth a crap.Rantaanen had a wide open side EASY goal but he shot it right at Dobes who was standing on the OPPOSITE side of the net lmao .So he basically missed his shot by a about 3 feet geesh.
There was some sloppy play by both teams but as I said players can't finish poor shooting no scoring IQ.
What I said about Liane/Caufield is big time showing to be true.
Laine in he is the target he gets the shots the glory but Caufield disappears so it's a tradeoff not a positive gain one lose another.Laine out Caufield comes back in as the go to shooter guy and has yet gain reentered the scoring scene where he was before Laine arrived.
Overall I look for how the players THINK out there and I still see everyone spectating the puck in their own end nobody looking for players to cover. So we are not seeing better hockey we are just seeing the Habs hit a stretch where opposing teams are playing equally as bad.In reality hockey IQ is real bad in modern hockey any team can beat any team just look SanJose also won tonight.

  4. 1st game Dobes played he made 33 Saves… then plays Avalanche wins…. this is no Carey Price it's someone else's spirit coming through. SAINT PAT…..

  5. Who thought when the Habs started out on this road trip, that they would take 8 out of 10 pts?

And the attitude on this Dobes kid in the shootout. Catching pucks and just throwing them to the side! LOVE IT!!!

And don't look now, but the Habs are 1pt out of the last wildcard spot. Ottawa doesn't play until Tuesday. Win over Vancouver on Monday puts this team in a playoff spot, albeit probably briefly!

  6. 1 point out of wild-card… little bro do you know that you need approximately 95 points to make playoffs?? We're not even at 40 yet chill the fuck out jeezus, fuck the playoffs gotta tank

  7. I think we need to move Slav. Or send him down. Although I’m not sure moving him down would help.
He is not focused, and his play has been hurting us all season

  8. That game was so intense, I had to lie down on the couch straight after the game. It was on live at Sunday lunch time (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).

  9. Dobes reminds of Patrick in several ways ..Confidence , position , clutch , fiesty , great glove …will do anything to stop the puck and play it without loosing position …

  10. What redemption from the Chicago game. The boys stick to.a system, a few hiccups to say the least, but they hung around, hung around and after 13's goal from 14 & 48, I thought ok, we got the Avs thinking. THEN ref gives Avs a last 2 minute extra man advantage, but the boys, notably Dobes, shut the door. I see a team building an identity….a hard skating and no quitting team. The trade deadline will hopefully add to that identity. Great comeback tonight.

  11. Great comeback and Dobes was great but What do you you see in Matheson ? Ya he gets used a lot but he's horrible ! Give aways; blind passes to no one; stunned and out of position ! As for Devorak I'd bring up Beck and get rid of him. And I'd really think about keeping Evans.

  12. The win against the Avs erases the disappointment of losing to Chicago. A highly successful post Christmas road trip. Canucks could be missing some key players tomorrow night. For the Habs, they could be jet lagged coming home after a long road trip.

  13. What a road trip. 4-1-0. 8 out of 10 points. Looking at the schedule before the trip I was hoping for maybe 4 points. But 8?? Whhhhoooooo!!! Dobes looking good. Dach looking like he is back. First win without Laine in the lineup. I don't want to get my hopes up but if they keep going they may actually pull this off and be close to a wildcard. Tough month ahead looking at the schedule. Go Habs!!

  14. You are so correct. We are seeing the progression of the team now. Hughes and Gortons vision and actions are now starting to emerge in front of us. I didn't believe a playoff spot was possible even 2 weeks ago. I do now. There will be ups and downs thru the rest of the season but I have faith in this group and I think they can get there. This has been so much fun to watch. GHG

  15. When Lehkonen went on a breakaway after the penalty, I thought, "Here we go… F#@k!" I was sure they were going to score.. I looked like a Vince NcMahon meme when Dobes made the save. I have to say, it's refreshing to see the Habs win these games. This is by far the best stretch the Habs have had since the rebuild. Here's hoping it will be the first of many. The Fans have been patient waiting for this. We can't expect Dobes continue to have a GAA of 0.5 for the rest of the season but if can continue to make such key saves, it's going to be more fun to watch the Habs finish the season.

  16. I didnt like Guhles games last night if im being honest, again he was on the ice for the only goal against. There was a couple plays where he was playing good defensively but he hurt the team i think. We forgot to talk about Juraj getting benched in the 3rd and Evans gettting the chance on the first line creating the turnover that led to the caufield goal. Slaf is just a lazy player and when demidov gets here he easily takes the first line spot and hes not good enough for the 2nd line so now we build a 3rd line around a 7.6 million dollar slaf "excellent"

Dobes is exciting and amazing thank god for him..

  17. Dobes changes everything, when Primeau was in the net the Habs played on their heels but with Dobes they seem like a real confident group. Evans line is just awesome right now and even Anderson and Dvorak are on fire killing penalties and driving plays, am I dreaming? The only negative right now is Slavkosky, he thinks he is good but really he isn't nearly as good as he thinks, wake-up man!

  18. That was a nail-biter of a game and it was nice that the boys pulled it off in the end. Drew – I think it's important to underscore that this was NOT a game that Colorado LOST but rather a game that Montreal WON. Credit to the Avs that they were relentless, particularly in that first period and they NEVER gave up and played Montreal hard right to the end. Colorado's forechecking and backchecking were awesome and there were long periods where Montreal just couldn't possess the puck at all.

The bad? Slafs didn't look good again. He appears to not know how to play against teams that play hard. He's still young…

  19. I can’t wait to the training camp 2025 with the arrival of Demidov and the roaster changes from this year’s trade deadline and summer UFA additions.

  20. Let’s keep the positive attitude moving forward guys and girls. Enough of the whining when we loose, all these guys are developing at their own rate and the old wood is gonna be moved out at the deadline as always. Hoping for another solid addition like carrier on the third and forth lines, dreaming for a top two candidate. With 20+ million in cap space this summer and the addition of at the very least Demidov, we will look terrific at training camp 2025.

  21. Dekesy did you get Carey/Kreider PTSD when Dobes got run down? Oh, Geez my heart was in my throat.

  22. Winning four out of five, and beating that last four Stanley Cup winners. You can't say too much about that. They are playing with a level of confidence they haven't had for most of the year. What can you say about Dobes? Two games in the NHL, first star of the game for both, goals against average 0.5, save % 0.982, 23 years old, but playing like a seasoned pro. Playing with the kind of swagger Patrick Roy had back in the day.

    Go, Habs!

  23. I don't care if they make the playoffs, all I want, as a fan, is to see progression, and they're doing that. The fans will be behind them 100% as long as they stick to the plan and progress.

  24. Hehe, it's kinda funny that the only goal that Dobeš let in so far in NHL was by the skate and not a stick

  25. Does seems like Slaf has a groin injury the way his skating looks so labored

  26. Shades of Ken Dryden. Another 23 yr old goaltender who might help Montreal pull a St. Louis Blues story…going from the desert right to the promised land and a Stanley Cup.

Montreal may be the NHL darkhorse this year.

This team is jelling and have become giant killers.

Come Spring there might be a parade.
